現代語訳
道理先生は事細かく教訓をした後、木前屋の両親に感動の詫びをなさったので、両親も大いに喜び、早速夜這いを取りやめた。そこで理太郎はこれより道を悟り、親に孝行を尽くし、倹約を哀れみ、大いなる君子となり、家も富み栄えた。これは皆道理先生の仁徳であると世間で言いはやした。
♪あの良い魂の息子二人は親の跡目を継ぎ、長く理太郎の体を住処として、母をも孝行怠らず守り続けた。これより魂は数が増えて、再び（悪事を）立てることはなかった。

The moral teacher gave detailed instruction, and afterward offered a heartfelt apology to Mokzen'ya's parents. The parents were greatly pleased and immediately called off the night attack. From then on, Ritarō came to understand the Way, devoted himself to filial piety toward his parents, practiced frugality compassionately, and became a great gentleman. His household prospered and flourished. Everyone praised this as entirely due to the moral teacher's benevolent virtue.
♪Those two sons of good souls succeeded their parent, made Ritarō's body their long-term dwelling, and continued to protect their mother without neglecting their filial duties. From this point on, the souls multiplied and never again caused trouble.
