現代語訳
ここにまた善い魂の女房と二人の息子は、なんとしても親の仇を討とうと狙っていたが、悪い魂は多く、味方も多くいるため力が及ばず、無念の月日を送っていた。しかし本心が帰ってきた時を得て、難なく本望を遂げたので、その他の悪い魂はみな逃げ失せてしまった。なんと心地よいことか。

「夫の仇、勝負だ！」
「思い知ったか」
「親の仇、恨み晴らせ」
【本文】
理太郎は道理先生に命を助けられた上、儒仏神の尊い道を聞き、今は前非を悔い、本心に立ち返る。
【理太郎の台詞】
「道理がないのは私一人、可哀想だと言ってくれる。暮れの金も物前の金も、今はもう穢らわしい」
【道理先生の台詞】
「人間万事大切なるは一つ心なり。皆自分の心より出て自分の身を苦しめる。その心はすなわち魂じゃ。ここの道理をとくと合点せねば」
「このついでに、この本の作者をも決めねばならぬ。大分不埒じゃそうな」
英語訳
Here again, the good soul of the wife and two sons had been targeting to somehow avenge their parent, but the evil souls were numerous and had many allies, so their strength was insufficient and they spent days in frustration. However, when the opportunity came for the true heart to return, they easily accomplished their earnest desire, and all the other evil souls fled and disappeared. How refreshing!

【Main text】
Ritarō, having had his life saved by the moral teacher and hearing the precious teachings of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Shinto, now regrets his past wrongs and returns to his true heart.
