【四巻九丁裏】
実（しつ）に積（つもり）を置一十百千一十百千と云（いふ）千の位（くらゐ）初（しよ）商（しやう）に

下／法（ほう）の八千を倍（はい）之千立百と成一位（くらゐ）さけて置（をき）商（しやう）
の次（つき）七を以（もつ）て下法の次に七／立（たつる）商の次の七を以法にて

【四巻九丁裏】
実（被除数）に積を置き、一、十、百、千、一十、百、千と数えて千の位から初商を8千と立てる。下法にも8千と置く。これに商を法で掛けるとき、8×8＝6京4兆となる。これを実から引く。
実に余りとして、1京2兆8億2万5千225が残る。
【四巻十丁表】
下法の8千を倍にして、1万6千となる。一位下げて置き、商の次の位に7を立てる。商の次の7を用いて下法に掛ける。1×7＝1兆、6×7＝4兆2億、7×7＝4億9万。実からこれを除く。実の余りは1兆1億3万5千225坪となる。

Place the accumulated value (積) in the dividend (実), counting positions as ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, ten-thousands, hundred-thousands, millions — and from the thousands place, set the first quotient digit as 8,000. Place 8,000 also in the divisor (下法). When multiplying the quotient by the divisor: 8×8 = 6京4兆. Subtract this from the dividend.
The remainder in the dividend is: 1京2兆8億2万5千225.

Double the divisor (下法) 8,000 to get 16,000. Shift it down one place and set the next digit of the quotient as 7. Using this next quotient digit 7, multiply against the divisor: 1×7 = 1兆, 6×7 = 4兆2億, 7×7 = 4億9万. Subtract these from the dividend. The remaining dividend is 1兆1億3万5千225坪.
