【四巻十丁裏】
下法の次の七百を倍にして千四百と置く。皆（すべて）一位ずつ下げる。さて、商の次の位に6を立てる。商の次の6を用いて、法で下法に掛ける。1×6＝6億、6×7＝4億2万4千、6×6＝3千6百。これを実から引く。
実に余りとして、8万7千625坪が残る。
【四巻十一丁表】
下法の次の6を倍にして12とする。皆（すべて）一位ずつ下げる。商の次の位に5を立てる。さて、商の5を用いて、法で下法に掛ける時、1×5＝5万、5×7＝3万5千、5×5＝2千5百、2×5＝百、5×5＝25。これを皆、実から引く。

【Volume 4, Folio 10 verso】
Double the next digit of the divisor (下法), 700, to get 1,400, and place it. Shift all positions down by one place. Then set the next digit of the quotient as 6. Using this quotient digit 6, multiply against the divisor: 1×6 = 6億, 6×7 = 4億2万4千, 6×6 = 3,600. Subtract all of these from the dividend (実).
The remainder in the dividend is: 87,625坪.

Double the next digit of the divisor (下法), 6, to get 12. Shift all positions down by one place. Set the next digit of the quotient as 5. Then, using this quotient digit 5, multiply against the divisor: 1×5 = 50,000; 5×7 = 35,000; 5×5 = 2,500; 2×5 = 100; 5×5 = 25. Subtract all of these from the dividend.
