【一巻丗四丁裏】
△銀本利（ぎんもとり）共に合三貫目有 二わりにして此本
はなにほとそといふ時に
本銀 弐貫五百目といふ
先三貫目と右（みき）に置／左（ひたり）に十二とをきて
右の三貫目を十二てわれは二貫五百目と成也
△銀本利共に合七貫目有 二わりにして此利
はかりはなにほとそといふ時に
利銀 壱貫百六拾六匁六分六厘六毛といふ
先七貫目と右に置これに二わりをかくれは
十四に成 是を左の十二てわれは利銀としるゝ也

【一巻三十四丁裏】
△元利合わせて銀三貫目ある。二割の利率で、この元金はどれほどかという時に
元銀 二貫五百目という
まず三貫目と右に置き、左に十二と置いて、右の三貫目を十二で割れば二貫五百目となる
△元利合わせて銀七貫目ある。二割の利率で、この利息だけはどれほどかという時に
利銀 一貫百六十六匁六分六厘六毛という
まず七貫目と右に置き、これに二割をかければ十四になる。これを左の十二で割れば利銀と知られる

二千五百九十二俵と知られる。また一坪には六十二俵半入るともいう。これを右の三十六坪にかければ二千二百五十俵入ると知られる。
右のいずれも蔵によって、またはつみ様によって、またはたわらの大小によっても違いがあるけれども、おおよそこのようなものと知るべし。

△一貫文につき銀十五匁の時、一匁につき銭はどれほどかという時
銀一匁につき 六十四文にあたるという

△When the combined principal and interest of silver amounts to 3 kan me, at a 20% interest rate, asking how much the principal is:
Principal: 2 kan 500 me
First place 3 kan me on the right, place 12 on the left, and dividing the right-side 3 kan me by 12 gives 2 kan 500 me.
△When the combined principal and interest of silver amounts to 7 kan me, at a 20% interest rate, asking how much the interest alone is:
Interest: 1 kan 166 monme 6 bu 6 rin 6 mō
First place 7 kan me on the right, multiply this by 20% to get 14. Dividing this by the left-side 12 gives the interest amount.

This gives 2,592 bales. Also, it is said that one tsubo holds 62 and a half bales. Multiplying this by the right-side 36 tsubo gives 2,250 bales.
The above figures all vary depending on the storehouse, the manner of stacking, and the size of the straw bales, but they should be understood as approximate figures of this kind.
