現代語訳
四谷御門外の伝馬町通りは横町のあちこちで損害が多く、通りでは玉川上水の万年樋が地中から崩れ出て、往来に水があふれ、これに落ちる者が多かったという。四谷新宿・成子町は損害が少なく、千駄ヶ谷・大久保辺り・権田原辺り・六道辺りは格別な損害はなし。鮫ヶ橋は崩れが多し。青山辺りは痛みが少ない。
赤坂は伝馬町・田町通り・一ツ木辺りで崩れが多く、麻布も損害が多いが格別なことはない。日ヶ窪・龍土は痛みが少ない。もっとも土蔵の壁込みの分はいずれも崩れない所はない。
虎ノ門外の溜池から市兵衛町辺りは少し緩く、西久保は少し痛み、四ツ辻は大いに損じ、狸穴・十番・赤羽根は痛みが強い。三田・飯倉は少し痛む。また金杉から牛町まで、田町通りも痛みは少ない。
聖坂から伊皿子辺りは痛みが強く、高輪台町・二本榎・白金は痛みが少ない。高輪町・品川辺りでは、ようやく五、六軒が潰れる。
芝増上寺の御山内は無事。中門前・片門前・浜松町は崩れが少ない。神明町・三島町は大崩れで潰れ家が多いが、神明社の境内は無事である。
通りの方では、宇田川町から浜手の御屋敷・新銭座辺りは痛みが強く、芝居町は一町が焼ける。露月町・源助町・芝口では仙台様・脇坂淡路守様の屋敷の崩れは少なく、久保町辺りも痛みは少ない。
新橋から京橋の間は痛みが少なく、数寄屋橋は少し痛む。木挽町から築地辺りは御屋敷の練塀・土蔵が崩れるのみで家は無事である。西本願寺の本堂は無事だが、境内には崩れた寺院がある。
南八丁堀から鉄砲洲にかけて多数が崩れる。船松町では松平淡路守様の屋敷が焼ける。佃島は猟師町が焼ける。霊岸島は塩町から浜町・大川端町の三ヶ所で二町余りが焼ける。富島町・川口町・長崎町・湊町辺りは崩れが多く、北新堀・箱崎も崩れが多い。

In the Denma-cho street outside Yotsuya Gate, there was extensive damage in various side streets. On the main street, the Mangaku-toi (permanent water conduit) of the Tamagawa water supply collapsed from underground, causing water to overflow onto the road, and many people fell into it. Yotsuya Shinjuku and Naruko-cho had little damage, while the areas of Sendagaya, Okubo, Gondahara, and Rokudo had no particular damage. Samegabashi had much collapse, and the Aoyama area had little damage.
In Akasaka, there was much collapse in Denma-cho, Tamachi street, and Hitotsugi area. Azabu also had much damage but nothing exceptional. Higakubo and Ryudo had little damage. However, regarding earthen storehouse walls, there was no place that did not collapse.
From Tameike outside Tora-no-mon to the Ichibei-cho area, damage was relatively light. Nishi-kubo had some damage, Yotsutsuji was severely damaged, and Mamiana, Juban, and Akabane had severe damage. Mita and Iikura had some damage. From Kanasugi to Ushi-machi, Tamachi street also had little damage.
From Hijiri-zaka to the Isarago area, damage was severe. Takanawadai-cho, Nihon-enoki, and Shirokane had little damage. In Takanawa-cho and Shinagawa area, only about five or six houses collapsed.
The temple grounds of Shiba Zojoji were safe. Chumon-mae, Katamon-mae, and Hamamatsu-cho had little collapse. Shinmei-cho and Mishima-cho had major collapses with many destroyed houses, but the Shinmei shrine grounds were safe.
On the street side, from Udagawa-cho to the waterfront mansions and the Shinginza area, damage was severe. Shibai-cho had one entire block burn down. In Rogetsu-cho, Gensuke-cho, and Shibaguchi, the residences of the Sendai lord and Wakisaka Awaji-no-kami had little collapse, and the Kubo-cho area also had little damage.
Between Shinbashi and Kyobashi, damage was light, and Sukiyabashi had some damage. From Kobiki-cho to the Tsukiji area, only the plaster walls and earthen storehouses of the mansions collapsed, but the houses were safe. The main hall of Nishi Honganji was safe, but there were collapsed temple buildings within the grounds.
From Minami-Hacho-bori to Teppozu, many collapsed. In Funamatsu-cho, the residence of Matsudaira Awaji-no-kami burned down. On Tsukuda Island, the fishermen's quarter burned. On Reigan Island, more than two blocks burned in three locations: from Shio-cho to Hama-cho and Okawabata-cho. Tomishima-cho, Kawaguchi-cho, Nagasaki-cho, and Minato-cho areas had much collapse, and Kita-Shinbori and Hakozaki also had much collapse.
