御門外の伝馬町通りは横丁横丁に損傷が多く、通りでは玉川上水の万年樋が地中より崩れ出て往来に水があふれ、これに落ちるものが多かったという。四谷・新宿・成子町は損傷が少なく、千駄ヶ谷・大久保辺り・権田原辺り・六道辺りは格別の損傷なし。鮫ヶ橋は崩れが多かった。青山辺りは傷みが少し。
○赤坂は伝馬町・田町通り・一ツ木辺りで崩れが多く、麻布も損傷は多かったが格別のことはなし。日が窪・龍土は傷みが少し。もっとも土蔵・壁込みのものはいずれも崩れなかった所がない（すべて崩れた）。

Outside the gate, along Denma-chō avenue, damage was extensive in many side streets. Along the main street, the Mannen-toi (perpetual conduit) of the Tamagawa aqueduct collapsed from underground, flooding the roadway, and many people fell into it. Yotsuya, Shinjuku, and Naruko-chō suffered little damage. Sendagaya, Ōkubo, Gondawara, and Rokudō areas suffered no particular damage. Samegabashi suffered many collapses. The Aoyama area suffered minor damage.
○ In Akasaka, Denma-chō, Tamachi avenue, and the Hitotsugi area suffered many collapses. Azabu also sustained much damage but nothing exceptional. Higakubo and Ryūdo suffered minor damage. However, there was not a single earthen storehouse (dozō) or plastered wall structure anywhere that did not collapse.
○ From Tameike beyond Toranomon Gate to the Ichibei-chō area, damage was relatively mild. Nishi-no-kubo suffered minor damage; the crossroads (Yotsuji) area was heavily damaged; Mamiana, Jūban, and Akabane were severely damaged. Mita and Iikura suffered some damage. From Kanasugi to Ushimachi, the Tamachi avenue also suffered little damage.
○ From Hijiri-zaka to the Isarago area, damage was severe. Takanawa-dai-chō, Nihon-enoki, and Shiroganesuffered little damage.
○ In the Takanawa-chō and Shinagawa areas, only about five or six houses were completely destroyed.
○ Within the precinct of Zōjō-ji Temple in Shiba, there was no damage whatsoever. Nakamon-mae, Katamon-mae, and Hamamatsu-chō suffered few collapses. Shinmei-chō and Mishima-chō suffered severe collapses with many houses completely destroyed. However, the precincts of Shinmei Shrine were undamaged.
○ Along the main street, from Udagawa-chō to the waterfront residences and the Shinsen-za area, damage was severe, and one block of Shibai-chō burned. Rōgetsu-chō, Gensuke-chō, and Shibaguchi saw the residences of the Sendai domain and Lord Wakisaka Awaji-no-kami suffer few collapses, and the Kubo-chō area also suffered little damage.
○ Between Shinbashi and Kyōbashi, damage was minor, and Sukiyabashi suffered slight damage. From Kobiki-chō to Tsukiji, only the plastered earthen walls (neri-bei) and storehouses (dozō) of the residences collapsed, while the main buildings were unscathed. The main hall of Nishi Hongan-ji was undamaged, though there were temple buildings within its grounds that collapsed.
○ From Minami-Hatchōbori through to Teppōzu, many structures collapsed. In Funamatsumachi, the residence of Lord Matsudaira Awaji-no-kami burned.
○ On Tsukuda Island, the fishermen's quarter (Ryōshi-chō) burned.
○ On Reigan Island, fires broke out in three locations—from Shio-chō through Hama-chō and Ōkawabata-chō—burning over two city blocks. In the areas of Tomishima-chō, Kawaguchi-chō, Nagasaki-chō, and Minato-chō, collapses were numerous, and North Shimbori and Hakozaki also suffered many collapses.
