大破同所半丁計やける江戸川筋
潰家多し
但シ江戸四里四方丁数三千七百余丁
之内土蔵五十三万五千七百八十余潰
又は焼家数潰焼其数算がたし
潰焼之死人凡八万五千九百人余程
けが人は其かづしれず東海道は川崎
加奈川損じ人多く死す先ははこね
迄ゆれいたむ東は葛西ゟ舟堀ほりへ
行德舟橋辺はわけて潰死人も多し
佐倉成田木下源和わけテつよし上総
房州は少〻いたみ日光道中はさつて

現代語訳
大破し、同所半町ほどが焼けた。江戸川筋は潰れた家が多い。
ただし、江戸四里四方、町数三千七百余町のうち、土蔵五十三万五千七百八十余棟が潰れ、または焼失した。家数の潰れや焼失はその数を数えることができない。
潰れや焼失による死人はおよそ八万五千九百人余り、怪我人はその数を知ることができない。東海道は川崎・神奈川が損傷し、多くの人が死んだ。先は箱根まで揺れて損傷した。東は葛西から舟堀・堀江・行徳・舟橋辺りは特にひどく潰れ、死人も多い。
佐倉・成田・木下・源和は特に強く、上総・房州は少し損傷した。日光道中は幸手辺りまで、下総は所々大いに損傷し、甚大で場所により異なる。中山道は熊谷辺りまで。ただし熊谷の堤は割れて泥・砂・砂利を吹き出した。
水戸街道は取手辺りが特に強く、筑波山の辺りはことごとく潰れた。常陸は揺れ潰れが甚だ強い。この他の国々まではいずれも筆や紙に述べることができない。
お上様より慈悲深い仁恵をお下しになり、困窮している者たちへ救援の飯または救援小屋をお立てになった。町人の家持ちからは金銭や米などを施し、万民が安易に安心して太平を喜んでいる。

However, within Edo's four-ri radius containing over 3,700 districts, more than 535,780 storehouses collapsed or burned down. The number of houses that collapsed or burned cannot be calculated.
The death toll from collapse and fire was approximately 85,900 people, and the number of injured is unknown. On the Tōkaidō road, Kawasaki and Kanagawa were damaged and many people died. The damage and shaking extended as far as Hakone. To the east, from Kasai to Funabori, Horie, Gyōtoku, and the Funabashi area were particularly severely damaged with many deaths.
Sakura, Narita, Kioroshi, and Genwa were especially hard hit. Kazusa and Bōshū provinces suffered minor damage. On the Nikkō road, damage extended to around Satte. In Shimōsa province, there was severe damage in various locations, with the extent varying by location. On the Nakasendō road, damage reached as far as Kumagaya. However, the Kumagaya embankment cracked and spewed out mud, sand, and gravel.
On the Mito road, the Toride area was particularly hard hit, and the area around Mount Tsukuba was completely destroyed. In Hitachi province, the shaking and destruction were extremely severe. The conditions in other provinces are impossible to describe with pen and paper.
