一 三月廿三日右同断之儀今日尾張中納言《割書：宗｜勝》様御屋敷江小笠原
縫殿助 殿御越御家老志水甲斐守 成瀬大和守江被相
達候処中納言 様御承知有之旨ニ而縫殿助殿江左之通書付
を以相達
今般品姫方於義丸殿江縁組之儀御内談之通
弥御取結有之度由中納言殿被致承知候御
答之儀ハ従是可申入候
三月廿三日
右相済久世尽右ヱ門 殿縫殿助殿与御同道ニ而此
御屋形江御越 御家老江書付被相渡之相済於大書院
忠右衛門殿中納言様ゟ之御答書左之通御家老江被相渡之
今般於義丸殿江品姫方縁組之儀御内談
之通御取結有之度由中納言殿被致承知不
大形満悦之至被存候弥御取結可被申候依之
久世忠右衛門方を以被申入候

右畢而於小書院御両人江御料理被指出之徳山五兵衛 殿
御執持有之相済中納言様江為御挨拶五兵衛殿御越有之
現代語訳
一、三月二十三日 右と同じ件について、今日尾張中納言宗勝様の御屋敷へ小笠原縫殿助殿が訪問し、御家老の志水甲斐守、成瀬大和守へ伝達したところ、中納言様が承知された旨で、縫殿助殿へ次の通りの書付をもって回答があった
「この度品姫と於義丸殿との縁組の件について、御内談の通りにいよいよお取りまとめいただきたいとのことを中納言殿が承知いたしました。御返答については追ってこちらから申し入れます
三月二十三日」
右の件が済んで、久世忠右衛門殿が縫殿助殿と同道でこちらの御屋形へお越しになり、御家老へ書付をお渡しになった。それが済んで大書院において、忠右衛門殿が中納言様からの御返答書を次の通り御家老へお渡しになった
「この度於義丸殿へ品姫との縁組の件について、御内談の通りお取りまとめいただきたいとのことを中納言殿が承知し、並々ならぬ満悦の至りと存じております。いよいよお取りまとめいただきますよう、久世忠右衛門を通じて申し入れます
三月二十三日」
右の件が終わって小書院において御両人へ御料理が出され、徳山五兵衛殿がお給仕された。それが済んで中納言様への御挨拶のため五兵衛殿がお越しになった

1. March 23rd - Regarding the same matter as mentioned above, today Ogasawara Nuinosuke-dono visited the residence of Owari Chūnagon Munekatsu-sama and conveyed the message to the chief retainers Shimizu Kai-no-kami and Naruse Yamato-no-kami. Chūnagon-sama gave his consent, and the following written response was given to Nuinosuke-dono:
"Regarding the marriage between Shinahime and Yoshimaru-dono, Chūnagon-dono has given his consent to proceed with the arrangement as discussed in our private talks. We will communicate our formal response separately at a later time.
March 23rd"
After this was completed, Kuze Tadaemon-dono accompanied Nuinosuke-dono to visit our residence and handed the written document to our chief retainer. After this was done, at the Ōshoin (main reception hall), Tadaemon-dono presented the following reply letter from Chūnagon-sama to our chief retainer:
"Regarding the marriage between Yoshimaru-dono and Shinahime, Chūnagon-dono has given his consent to proceed with the arrangement as discussed in our private talks, and considers this to be a matter of extraordinary joy and satisfaction. We request that you proceed with the arrangement, and convey this through Kuze Tadaemon.
March 23rd"
After this was concluded, a meal was served to both gentlemen at the Koshoin (small reception hall), with Tokuyama Gohei-dono serving as host. Once this was finished, Gohei-dono went to pay his respects to Chūnagon-sama.
