一、五月十三日、御使者として御留守居・津田九右衛門（盛恕）をもって、御先代の通り、公方様へ御国産の初鯖（三十刺）一箱を献上された。御側衆・水野河内守（忠富）殿より、後刻披露を遂げるべき旨を申し聞かされ之。
大納言様へも御使者として同人をもって、右同断を献上された。御側衆・水野丹波守殿より、後刻披露を遂げるべき旨を申し聞かされ之。
一、同日、御国の御城廻り石垣の御修復ならびに御堀浚いの儀につき、御用番・堀田相模守正亮殿へ、御留守居・津田九右衛門（盛恕）をもって、御願書ならびに御絵図を相添えて差し出され之。
越前国福井城石垣一ヶ所、或いは崩れ、或いは孕み候につき、
築き直しの儀、かつまた埋まり候堀浚いのこと、絵図朱引きの通り、
連々（引き続き）元の通り普請を申し付けたく願い奉り候。以上。

Fifth Month
Item: On the thirteenth day of the fifth month, the residential agent (rusuii) Tsuda Kuemon (Morihiro) was dispatched as envoy, and, in accordance with the precedent set by the previous lord, one box of the domain's specialty first-of-season mackerel (hatsusaba, thirty fish) was presented to the Shogun. The Shogun's chamberlain (sobashū) Lord Mizuno Kawachi-no-kami (Tadatomi) conveyed that the presentation would be duly announced at a later time.
The same envoy also presented the identical offering to the Lord Great Counselor (Dainagon-sama). The chamberlain Lord Mizuno Tamba-no-kami conveyed that the presentation would likewise be announced at a later time.
Item: On the same day, regarding the repair of the stone walls surrounding the castle in the home domain and the dredging of the castle moat, a formal petition (negaisho) accompanied by a castle map (ezu) was submitted through the residential agent Tsuda Kuemon (Morihiro) to Lord Hotta Sagami-no-kami Masaaki, who was serving as the duty Senior Counselor (goyōban).
As one section of the stone walls of Fukui Castle in Echizen Province has either collapsed or begun to bulge outward, we respectfully request permission to carry out reconstruction works. Furthermore, regarding the dredging of the silted-up moat, as indicated by the red markings on the attached map, we humbly request that construction works be ordered to restore these to their original state on a continuing basis. Respectfully submitted.
