To deliver the report to the Duty Councillor (*Goyōban*), Lord Matsudaira Ukonshōgen (Takemoto), the messenger and Resident Official Katō Chōemon (Masatoshi) was dispatched.
---
One: On the eighteenth day of the Sixth Month, to offer summer greetings (*shochū goaikō*), a messenger — the Resident Official Tsuda Kuemon (Morihiro) — was dispatched to the Duty Councillor Lord Matsudaira Ukonshōgen (Takemoto), the Senior Councillor attached to the Ōgosho-sama Lord Nishio Okiknokami (Tadanao), and the Senior Councillor attached to the Lord Dainagon Lord Akimoto Tajimanokami (Suzutomo), this being done by proxy messenger on account of the domain lord's young age.
Note: Regarding the above custom of dispatching a messenger for summer greetings, since it became established practice during the lord's minority, it will not be recorded hereafter.

To the Ōgosho-sama [the retired Shogun, Tokugawa Yoshimune]: the same gift was presented via the same messenger. The chamberlain Lord Kobori Tosannokami informed the messenger that the presentation would be announced in due course.
To the Lord Dainagon [the heir]: likewise the same gift was presented. The chamberlain Lord Mizuno Tanbannokami informed the messenger that the presentation would be announced in due course.
