御書院番頭・稲葉要人（正明）を差し遣わした。
一、同日、御縁組を仰せ出された件につき、御名代・出羽守（宗衍）様が尾張様のもとへお出向きになったところ、松平中務大輔（義敏）殿・同掃部頭（勝長）殿・同弾正大弼（勝当）殿がお待ち受けになっていた。中納言（宗勝）様・中将（宗睦）様と御対面になり、種々の御饗応があり、それが済んで出羽守様は御退出された。
中納言様より右の御挨拶として、このお屋形へ御家老・竹腰山城守が、中将様より御傅役・高木八郎左衛門が差し越され、御対面所へ案内し、御用人が罷り出てお口上を承った。それより御書院三ノ間へ案内し、御家老・御中老が罷り出て挨拶し、御饗応があった。それが終わって、大書院御上段之間に御着座になり、二ノ床前に御同姓様方が御列座され、御縁頬に大田原出雲守殿・森対馬守殿・小笠原伊予守殿が御列座された。山城守・八郎左衛門が召し出され、御中老・中根靱負（衆寛）が披露した。（中納言様の御使者：竹腰山城守として）御用人・嶋田清左衛門（繁卿）が披露した。（中将様の御使者：高木八郎左衛門として）それが終わって、直答があり、山城守・八郎左衛門が退出する際、御同姓様方は二ノ間まで御送りになった。御家老・御中老・御用人は式台の鏡板まで相送り、尾張様へ再び御挨拶のため御使者として御側物頭・岡三郎右衛門（経忠）を差し遣わした。
一、十一月二十九日、右と同様の件につき、御徒飛脚・矢野三大夫（政房）を道中五日の行程をもって御国許へ差し遣わした。今晩、常盤橋御屋敷を出立。
一、同月晦日、御用番・本多伯耆守（正珍）殿より御呼び出しがあり、御留守居・横田作大夫（尚道）が罷り出たところ、去る二十八日に御縁組を仰せ出された件につき、御献上物の（こと、以下次頁へ続く）。

The Senior Guards Captain (goshoinhangashira) Inaba Kaname (Masamitsu) was dispatched.
Item: On the same day, in connection with the marriage arrangement having been ordered, the nadai Dewa-no-Kami (Muneyuki)-sama proceeded to the residence of Owari-sama, where Matsudaira Nakatsukasa-no-Taifu (Yoshitoshi)-dono, Matsudaira Kambe-no-Kami (Katsunaga)-dono, and Matsudaira Danjō-no-Daihi (Katsumasa)-dono were waiting to receive him. He met in person with Chūnagon (Munekatsu)-sama and Chūjō (Munemichi)-sama, and after various hospitalities were offered, upon conclusion Dewa-no-Kami-sama withdrew.
From Chūnagon-sama, as a return courtesy visit to this residence, the chief retainer (karō) Takekoshi Yamashiro-no-Kami was dispatched; from Chūjō-sama, the guardian-tutor (ofuyaku) Takagi Hachirōzaemon was dispatched. They were guided to the reception room (omimaijo), where the business manager (oyōnin) appeared and received their verbal messages. They were then guided to the Third Room (San-no-Ma) of the Audience Chamber (shoin), where the chief retainer (okarō) and the middle elders (ochūrō) appeared and exchanged greetings, and hospitality was offered. Upon its conclusion, [the lord] took his seat in the upper dais room (jōdan-no-ma) of the Great Audience Chamber, with members of the same clan (godōsei) seated in row before the second alcove (Ni-no-toko), and Ōtawara Izumo-no-Kami-dono, Mori Tsushima-no-Kami-dono, and Ogasawara Iyo-no-Kami-dono seated in the adjoining corridor (ochinhoro). Yamashiro-no-Kami and Hachirōzaemon were summoned, and the middle elder Nakane Yumino (Shūkan) made the formal introductions. (As Chūnagon-sama's messenger: Takekoshi Yamashiro-no-Kami) The business manager Shimada Seizaemon (Shigeyuki) made the formal introductions. (As Chūjō-sama's messenger: Takagi Hachirōzaemon.) Upon conclusion, a direct reply (jikitō) was given, and as Yamashiro-no-Kami and Hachirōzaemon withdrew, the members of the same clan escorted them as far as the Second Room (Ni-no-Ma). The chief retainer, middle elders, and business managers saw them off as far as the mirror panel (kagamiita) of the entry vestibule (shikidai). As a further return courtesy to Owari-sama, the attendant unit captain (osoba monotogashira) Oka Saburōemon (Tsunetada) was dispatched as a messenger.
Item: On the 29th day of the 11th month, in connection with the same matter, the courier on foot (otomo hikyaku) Yano Sandayū (Masafusa) was dispatched to the home domain (okuni-moto) with a five-day journey. He departed from the Tokiwa-bashi residence this evening.
Item: On the last day (misoka) of the same month, a summons was received from the duty elder (goyōban) Honda Hōki-no-Kami (Masayoshi)-dono, and the Edo resident deputy (orusui) Yokota Sakudayū (Naomichi) appeared.
