一 同日右同断ニ付御用番本多中務大輔忠良殿 西丸御老中松平
能登守衆賢殿江 御勤
一 六月朔日小笠原縫殿助 殿ゟ申来候ニ付御奏者番永見右衛門安談
罷出候処昨晦日御用番本多中務大輔忠良殿御渡之由ニ而差之通
御書付被相渡之
近来諸大名之留守居共所々茶屋等ニ而出会
猥成遊奥仕由風聞くニ候向後茶屋等ニ而之出
会ハ相止させ可被申候寄合之儀者主人座敷
長屋等ニ而出会候様ニ在之可然候且虚説ケ間軸
儀を申触候沙汰も在之候此段別而如何成儀ニ候上
左様無之様ニ可被申付候将又組合仲間一統之
様ニ相成主人も取扱にくき様ニも有之由ケ様之儀ハ
猶更致させ被申間敷事ニ而間前條之趣共向後
無之様入念急度可被申付候以来如何之儀有之

一、同日、右同様につき御用番本多中務大輔忠良殿、西丸御老中松平能登守宗賢殿へ御勤めした。
一、六月朔日、小笠原縫殿助殿より申し来たにつき、御奏者番永見右衛門安談が罷り出たところ、昨日晦日に御用番本多中務大輔忠良殿より御渡しの由にて、左の通り御書付を相渡された。
近頃諸大名の留守居どもが所々の茶屋等において出会い、みだりな遊興をいたしている由、風聞に候。向後、茶屋等での出会いは相止めさせるべく申すべし。寄合の儀は主人座敷、長屋等において出会うよう在るべし。また、虚説ケ間軸の儀を申し触れる沙汰もこれあり候。この段、別して如何なる儀に候上、左様なきよう申し付けるべし。はたまた組合仲間一統のようになり、主人も取り扱いにくきようにもこれある由、かようの儀は猶更いたさせ申すまじき事にて、前条の趣ども向後なきよう入念急度申し付けるべし。以来如何なる儀これあり

I, on this 28th day, complete the mourning period. Therefore, for notification purposes, I convey this through a messenger. The above.

1. On the same day, regarding the same matter, [notification was made] for duty to duty officer Honda Nakatsukasa-dayū Tadayoshi and to Western Citadel Senior Councilor Matsudaira Noto-no-kami Muneyoshi.
1. On the 1st day of the 6th month, regarding a communication from Ogasawara Nuinosuke, when announcer Nagami Uemon Yasunori went out, he was told that yesterday on the last day [of the month], the following written notice was handed down from duty officer Honda Nakatsukasa-dayū Tadayoshi.
Recently, it has come to our attention through rumors that deputy stewards of various daimyo have been meeting at teahouses and other places, engaging in improper entertainment. Henceforth, meetings at teahouses and such places should be stopped. For gatherings, they should meet at their master's residence, in long houses, and such places as would be appropriate. Moreover, there are reports of spreading false rumors and inappropriate matters. This is particularly problematic, and such things should not occur. Furthermore, it is reported that they have become like organized groups, making it difficult for masters to handle them. Such matters should absolutely not be allowed to happen.
