現代語訳

別の趣旨により御借米を御用捨されました。今度の件は日光御宮御修復の御手伝いが仰せ出され、公辺の御用につき、いずれも割合の通り御借米が仰せ出され候間、そのように心得られ上納されるべきです。以上。
九月

一、九月十二日、去る八日に日光御殿で地更（地鎮祭）を取り行った旨の報告が来たため、御用掛りの御老中本多中務大輔忠良殿へ御届けがありました。

一、同日、瑞源寺において昨十一日晩から今朝まで、採源院様三十三回忌御法事が御執行されました。谷中の南泉寺でも御茶湯が御執行されました。

一、同月十五日、御不快（体調不良）のため御登城を御断りされました。

一、同日、右同様の理由により、柳原御小屋場辺りの出火の際の御出馬の件につき、御用番本多中務大輔忠良殿へ左の通り御口上書をもって御届けされました。

口上之覚
柳原御普請小屋方角の出火の節、火事の様子により私も右の場所へ出向く心得でおりました処、この間不快のため、出火の節場所へ出向かず、家来の者を指し向けました。これにより御届けのため使者をもって申し達します。

英語訳

special consideration, the rice loan was exempted. In this current matter, assistance for the repair of Nikkō Shrine has been ordered, and due to this official government business, rice loans have been ordered from everyone according to their proportional share. This should be understood accordingly and the rice should be delivered. The above.

1. On September 12th, a report came that a ground-breaking ceremony (jichinsai) was held at Nikkō Palace on the 8th, so notification was given to Senior Councilor Honda Nakatsukasa-taifu Tadayoshi, who was in charge of this matter.

1. On the same day, at Zuigen-ji Temple, from the evening of the 11th until this morning, the 33rd memorial service for Lord Saigen-in was conducted. At Nanzen-ji Temple in Yanaka, a tea ceremony was also conducted.

1. On the 15th of the same month, due to illness, attendance at the castle was declined.

1. On the same day, for the same reason as above, regarding the matter of dispatching to the fire at the Yanagihara construction hut area, the following oral statement was submitted to Duty Councilor Honda Nakatsukasa-taifu Tadayoshi:

Memorandum of Oral Statement
When a fire broke out in the direction of the Yanagihara construction huts, I was prepared to go to that location depending on the situation of the fire. However, due to my recent illness, I did not go to the location when the fire occurred, but instead sent my retainers. Therefore, I am reporting this through a messenger.
