○術に云く。半歳周（はんさいしゅう）一百八十二日六千二百十二分半を列べ、天正閏余（てんせいじゅんよ）を内減し、余りをもって十一月入縮暦とする。朔策（さくさく）二十九万五千三百〇五分九十三秒を加え入れ、半歳周を満たせば去る。余りをもって十二月入盈暦とする。逐次このように加減し、八月に至るまで行う。

○ The method states: List the Half-Year Cycle (han-sai-shū) of 182 days and 6,212.5 fen, subtract the Heavenly Correct Intercalary Remainder (tensei jun-yo) within it, and the remainder becomes the entry into the Contracting Calendar for the eleventh month. Add the Conjunction Interval (saku-saku) of 295,305 fen and 93 seconds; when it reaches the Half-Year Cycle, remove it and stop. The remainder becomes the entry into the Expanding Calendar for the twelfth month. Continue adding and subtracting in this manner until reaching the eighth month.
