できるものである。しかしながら、四つの書物の中には説明が不十分な計算問題が数多くある。私の愚かな心で『方圓秘見集』と名付け、既存の計算法に似たことを書き記すのは、他人に見せるのもはばかられ、作者としての手腕も薄いであろうことだが、私よりも愚かな人がもしかしたら稽古の助けにでもなればと思い、これらを書き集めるものである。

However, among these four collections, there are many mathematical problems where the methods are inadequately explained. Though it may be presumptuous of me, with my foolish mind, to name this work "Hōen Hiken-shū" (Secret Insights into Square and Circle Methods) and record matters similar to existing computational methods—and though showing this to others might be embarrassing, and my abilities as an author may be meager—I compile these writings hoping that they might serve as practice aids for those even more foolish than myself.
