また夕方から震動と大雷で大量の砂が降り、およそ六寸ほど積もりました。
特に一坪につき二石余りもあったということで、その他の重量は四百二十五匁
あったということです。八日の昼時には泥の混じった砂が少々降りました。雨は全く
降りませんでした。安中あたりからこちらまでは格別軽く済み、
一尺余り、また松井田では二尺ほど、軽井沢追分あたりでは
焼けた石がたくさん降ったということです。田畑については全く今年は使い物に
ならないということで、この先どうなることか今でも見当がつきません。
藤岡はこちらより無事でした。今七つ時（午後四時頃）に利根川の筋で
山崩れが起き地下水が出たということで、お屋敷へ注進があったということです。杢
番所が流され、川沿いの村々で人馬が多く流されたということの
風聞があります。この件がどの程度のことなのか見当が
