晴れたところ、また七ツ時（午後4時頃）から曇り、夕方から砂が少々降り、夜に入ると戸や障子が響き鳴って、浅草辺りは少し揺れるように感じたとのことです。八日にも一日中曇って砂が降り、屋根に霜がかかったような様子になりました。その上に白い毛のようなものが散り散りに降り、長さ四寸ほど、また長さ七寸ほどもあったとのことです。九日には小雨が降って砂も止みました。
この被害の最も激しかった場所は、信州追分から武州鴻巣宿まで、南は渡瀬・寄井辺りから北は吾妻郡中之條村、その他北方は詳しくは分かりませんが、大体長さ二十八、九里ほど、横二十里余り、武州・信州・上州・野州・越後、特に越後は高田辺りまでです。
信州浅間山麓の上州吾妻郡蒲原村では、千余人のうち十七人が残りました。
西久保村、中村、草木原村、羽尾村、松木村、合計五ヶ村は皆死滅しました。

It cleared up, but from around 4 PM it became cloudy again, and from evening a little sand fell. When night came, doors and sliding screens rattled, and it was reported that the Asakusa area seemed to shake slightly. On the 8th day it was also cloudy all day with sand falling, and rooftops appeared as if frost had settled on them. On top of that, white hair-like material fell scattered about, some pieces about four sun long and others about seven sun long. On the 9th day, light rain fell and the sand stopped.
The area of greatest devastation extended from Oiwake in Shinshū to Kōnosu post station in Musashi Province, from Watarse and Yorii in the south to Nakanojō village in Agatsuma District in the north. The exact northern extent is unknown, but roughly it measured about 28-29 ri in length and over 20 ri in width, covering Musashi, Shinshū, Jōshū, Yashū, and Echigo provinces, particularly reaching as far as the Takada area in Echigo.
In Kambara village in Agatsuma District, Jōshū Province, at the foot of Mount Asama in Shinshū, only seventeen people survived out of more than a thousand.
The villages of Nishikubo, Nakamura, Kusaki-hara, Hane-o, and Matsuki - all five villages - were completely destroyed with all inhabitants perishing.
