○怡顔斎いわく 一名「大手毬（おおてまり）」ともいう。千重咲き（せんようざき）にして大輪。一箇所に二、三十房の花が群がり集まって、手毬（てまり）のようである。花色はやや薄紅色（うすあかいろ）である。

○Igan-sai states: It is also known by another name, "Ō-temari" (Large Temari Ball). The flowers are multi-petaled (senyo) and large. Twenty to thirty clusters of flowers gather together in one place, resembling a temari ball. The flower color is a faint, pale pinkish-red.
