【右丁】
葉は小さい。「はまでよき」という意味合いで名付けられたものである。
○活所翁桜譜いわく、八重咲きで小さい（花である）。
○鈍永いわく、芸花園（うんかえん）に云う、「中白（なかしろ）、千弁（せんよう）にして淡紅（うすあかき）を帯び、若葉はわずかに黄みを帯び、絞り（しぼり）がある。甚だ美しい」。

○怡顔斎いわく、万弁（まんよう）、粉紅（くれない）色、中輪である。普賢象（ふげんぞう）の万弁のものである。この名称の由来はつまびらかでない（詳しくはわからない）。

The leaves are small. The name is given with the meaning of "good (*yoki*) right up to the leaves (*ha*) [i.e., beautiful in every part, including the leaves]."
○Kassho-ō's *Sakura-fu* states: It is a double-flowered variety and small (in bloom).
○Don'ei states: According to the *Unkaen* (芸花園): "[This variety,] *Nakajiro*, is a thousand-petaled (*senyō*) flower tinged with pale crimson (*usu-akaki*), and the young leaves are slightly yellowish with a *shibori* (variegated twisting) pattern. It is exceedingly beautiful."

○Igan-sai (the author) states: It is a myriad-petaled (*man'yō*), pink-crimson (*kurenai*) colored, medium-bloomed variety. It is the myriad-petaled form of the *Fugen-zō* (Fugen Elephant) cherry. The origin or meaning of this name is not fully known (*tsumabirakanarazu*).
