ふうふに御いとま申請行春もろともニ尋て来
給ふへしかならす夢とおもひ給ふまし此由
太夫にとい給ハゝ少もうたかふ所なしかならす
待そと仰ける思ひをふて候か行春いかにと仰
ける行春長者ふうふもろともに横手をてふと
打是は御つけかな少も違は候はす如何は
せんと申さるゝ姫君はきこしめし御夫婦の
御恩忘るゝにては候ハす是か誠に候ハゝ一ト先
御いとま給れかし尋あいて候ハゝかならす
御迎に参て御おんの報し可申行春いかにと
有けれは長者ふうふきこしめし此うへハとも
かくも名残をしくハ候へ共廻りおひてましまさハ
又こそ尋逢へき也はや〳〵いそかせ給へと路
次の用意と事念頃にいたし給ふ太夫姫君
もろともに嬉泪かきりなく御名残をしたいて
一首
そたてつる我をは思ひすつるとも
尋あわすハかゑり見給へ

夫婦にお暇を申し受け、行春も一緒に尋ねて来てくださるでしょう。決して夢だと思ってはなりません。この事を太夫にお尋ねになれば、少しも疑う所はありません。必ず待っていてくださいと仰いました。思いを込めて申し上げますが、行春はいかがでしょうかと仰いました。行春、長者夫婦共々に手を叩いて、これはお告げでしょうか、少しも違いはございません、どうしたものでしょうかと申されました。姫君はお聞きになり、ご夫婦のご恩を忘れるわけではございませんが、これが本当でございましたら、まずお暇をくださいませ。尋ね当てることができましたら、必ず
お迎えに参り、ご恩をお返し申し上げますと言いました。行春はいかがかと申しましたところ、長者夫婦はお聞きになり、この上はどうしようもなく、名残惜しくはございますが、運命でいらっしゃるならば、また尋ね会うこともできるでしょう。早々にお急ぎくださいと、旅路の用意と心配りを丁寧になさいました。太夫と姫君は共に嬉し涙限りなく、お名残を惜しんで一首詠まれました。
育て上げた私のことを忘れてしまわれても
尋ね会わずば振り返って見てください

Please wait for us, she said. Speaking with deep feeling, she asked how Yukiharu felt about this. Yukiharu and the wealthy couple clapped their hands together, saying this must be a divine message, there is no mistake at all, but what should we do? The princess, having heard this, said that while she would never forget the kindness of the couple, if this were truly real, please grant her leave first. If she could find her way there, she would certainly
come to escort them and repay their kindness. When asked about Yukiharu's thoughts, the wealthy couple listened and said that under these circumstances, whatever may come, though it is regrettable to part, if this is destiny, they may meet again. Please hurry on your way, they said, carefully preparing provisions and arrangements for the journey. Tayū and the princess together shed tears of joy without end, reluctant to part, and composed a poem:
Even if you forget me who raised you,
If you do not seek and find me, please look back upon me.
