## 覚（おぼえ）
一、陸奥守殿が今回、首尾よく御暇（おいとま）を賜ったことは、皆々大いに喜ばしく、まことに有難いことと存じます。
まず第一に、どうか心安くお思いになられるよう、そのようにご理解いただくようにとの上意（将軍のお言葉）は、誠にもって比類なきことでございます。
この上は、いよいよ諸事につきご慎重に仕置きなさることが肝要と存じます。武家諸法度にも「万事、江戸の法度に従い遵行すべし」とある以上、御代々のご作法はそれぞれ別として、新規のことについては老中とご相談なさるのが然るべきかと存じます。
一、吉利支丹（キリシタン）宗門の件につきましては、いよいよ念を入れて取り締まるよう申し付けるべき旨、御目見えの日に仰せ渡されました。

## Memorandum (Oboegaki)
Item: Regarding Lord Mutsunokami having successfully received his leave of absence this time — this is a matter of great joy to all of us, and we are deeply grateful.
Above all else, you should take heart and be at ease, and it is His Lordship's (the Shogun's) express wish that you understand it as such — this is truly a matter of extraordinary grace.
From this point forward, it is of the utmost importance that you conduct all affairs with the greatest of care and prudence. Given that the Laws for Military Houses (Buke Shohatto) stipulate that "all matters shall comply with and follow the laws of Edo," the established customs passed down through generations should of course be respected as they are, but for any new matters, it would be advisable to consult with the Rōjū (Senior Councilors).
Item: Regarding the matter of the Christian sect — on the day of the formal audience, it was proclaimed that ever greater diligence should be applied in suppressing and investigating this sect.
