【第八節】御成道の西側は【家紋】石川主殿頭様・【家紋】黒田豊前守様が焼ける。この辺りの小屋敷は大半が崩れ、伊賀様が焼ける。また明神下通りは建部内匠頭様・内藤豊後守様の表長屋が崩れる。明神下・御台所町・同朋町・金沢町・旅籠町辺りは大半が損じる。昌平橋等は少し崩れる。湯島横丁・同一丁目は崩れ少なし。神田明神は別条なし。筋違御門外は花房町・仲町一丁目・二丁目、この辺りの御成道・町家は東西ともに裏通りまで大半が崩れる。松永町・相生町も同様。

The fire stopped at the Hirose residence. On the eastern side of this area, three residences — those of Minobe, Kuzuyama, and Okubo — burned. In Marishiten Yokocho, the residences of Momoi, Morishita, Oyagi, Inoue, Hirao, Yoshikawa, Takagi, Hasegawa, Matsumoto, Teshima, and Mochizuki burned. In Ueno-machi Yokocho, at Fukuro-machi, the residences of Kido, Ishii, Yoshimura, Takada, and Nakamura burned. Along Aoshi-bashi Yokocho and Sakanadana-dori, the residences of Takayasu, Yamamoto, Miyakawa, Ogura, Momoi, and Ota burned. Amid the flames in this area, two residences — those of Morita and Saigo — survived. Along Ueno-machi 2-chome Yokocho, the residences burned from Ichida, Sakamoto, Yamamoto, Iida, and Sakata through Karaisai and Kimura. In 1-chome Yokocho, the fire stopped at the residences of Kameyama, Akiyama, Sato, Kawahara, Wakana, and Yoshida. On the opposite side of Choja-machi, the residences of Arita, Sakakibara, Komine, Sakaguchi, Ogura, Tōōchi, Ito, Samma, Yoshida, Wakiya-nai, Magariinomura, Kuroda, Sato, and Ichida burned. The residences of Kajiyama, Teshima, Yoshikawa, Fujii, Miura, Mitamura, Yukawa, Taguchi, Otani, Takai, Suzuki, Ito, Tanaka, Aizawa, Tawaruda, and Takeuchi burned. The residences of Anma and Takagi were spared. The Yamaguchi residence burned. The Shimura residence was spared. The Tsujimoto residence burned. The Hazama residence was spared. At the southwest corner of Shin-yashiki, the fire stopped at the residences of Kubota, Fujii, and Iihara.
[Section 8] On the western side of Onari-michi, the residences of Lord Ishikawa Tonomo-no-kami [family crest shown] and Lord Kuroda Buzen-no-kami [family crest shown] burned. The small estates in this vicinity were largely destroyed by collapse, and the Iga residence burned. Along Myojin-shita-dori, the front row tenements (omote-nagaya) of the residences of Lord Tatebe Takumi-no-kami and Lord Naito Bungo-no-kami collapsed. The areas of Myojin-shita, Odaidokoro-machi, Dobo-machi, Kanazawa-machi, and Hatagomachi were largely damaged. Shohei-bashi and surrounding areas suffered minor collapse. Yushima Yokocho and 1-chome suffered little collapse. Kanda Myojin Shrine suffered no particular damage. Outside Sujikaigomon, Hanabusa-machi, Nakamachi 1-chome, and 2-chome — along Onari-michi and in the townspeople's quarter (machiya), both east and west sides extending to the rear streets — were largely collapsed. Matsunaga-machi and Aio-machi were similarly affected.
