為取替一札之事
去ル天保五午年四月中町方焼失之砌
非常為防町幅相広め見通し宜様
被 仰付候ニ付一同町幅相広め致
家作候処有賀治右衛門土蔵弐ヶ所
町並之通切縮め可申候処扣屋敷多
分有之ニ付普請追々延引ニ相成
居候処当四月中先年焼失ニ無之
往来江出張居候土蔵之儀者其侭
普請いたし候而不苦旨被 仰出
一同奉畏候然ル処新町分有賀治右衛門
土蔵七間弐寸之場所町並江出張候分
其侭差置候而者家並見通し不宜
往々町内衰微之基ニ茂可相成哉与
町役人中迄歎願申立理解中之処
度々難渋申立候程之廉茂不相見

取り替え一札の件について
去る天保五年午年四月、町方が焼失した際、
非常時の防火のため町幅を広げて見通しを良くするよう
お命じになられたことにより、一同で町幅を広げて
家を建てることになったが、有賀治右衛門の土蔵二か所は
町並みの通りに切り詰めるべきところ、控え屋敷が多く
あるため、普請が次々と延期になって
いたところ、当年四月中、先年の焼失にかからなかった
往来に出張している土蔵については、そのまま
普請をしても構わない旨をお申し出になり、
一同恐れ入って承った。しかしながら、新町分の有賀治右衛門の
土蔵が七間二寸の場所で町並みに出張している分を
そのまま放置しておいては、家並みの見通しが悪く、
将来的に町内衰退の原因にもなりかねないと
町役人中まで嘆願を申し立て、理解を求めているところ、
度々困難を申し立てるほどの事情も見当たらない

Regarding the Exchange Agreement Document
In the fourth month of Tenpō 5 (1834), year of the Horse, when the town area was destroyed by fire,
in order to prevent future disasters, it was ordered that the town width be expanded
and visibility improved. Accordingly, everyone was to expand the town width and
construct houses, but Ariga Jiuemon's two storehouses
should have been cut back in line with the town row. However, since there were many
auxiliary residential lots,
the construction was repeatedly delayed.
Then, in the fourth month of this year, regarding the storehouses that had not been affected
by the previous year's fire and were protruding into the public road, it was announced
that construction could proceed as is,
which we all humbly accepted. However, regarding Ariga Jiuemon's
storehouse in the Shinmachi district, which protrudes into the town row
over a span of seven ken and two sun, leaving it as is
would impair the visibility of the house rows and
could potentially become the foundation for future decline of the town district.
The town officials have submitted a petition seeking understanding,
but there do not appear to be circumstances that would justify
repeatedly claiming such difficulties.
