為取替一札之事
去ル天保五午年四月中町方焼失之砌
非常為防町幅相広め見通し宜様
被 仰付候ニ付一同町幅相広め致
家作候処有賀治右衛門土蔵弐ヶ所
町並之通切縮め可申候処控屋敷多
分有之ニ付普請追々延引ニ相成
居候処当四月中先年焼失ニ無之
往来江出張居候土蔵之儀者其侭
普請いたし候而不苦旨被 仰出
一同奉畏候然ル処新町分有賀治右衛門
土蔵七間弐寸之場所町並江出張候分
其侭差置候而者家並見通し不宜
往々町内衰微之基ニ茂可相成哉与
町役人中迄歎願申上候理解中之処
度々難渋申立候程之廉茂不相見

取り替え一札の件について
去る天保五年午年四月に町方が焼失した際、
非常時の防災のため町幅を広げ見通しを良くするよう
お命じいただいたことにより、一同で町幅を広げて
家作りをいたしましたところ、有賀治右衛門の土蔵二ヶ所は
町並みの通りに切り縮めるべきところ、控え屋敷が多数
あったため普請が次々と延期になって
おりましたが、この四月に先年の焼失には関係なく
往来に出張している土蔵については、そのまま
普請をしても構わない旨をお言い渡しいただき
一同畏まって承りました。しかしながら新町分の有賀治右衛門の
土蔵七間二寸の場所が町並みに出張している分を
そのまま放置しておいては家並みの見通しが悪く
将来的に町内衰微の原因にもなりかねないと
町役人中まで嘆願申し上げて協議していたところ、
度々困窮を申し立てるほどの事情も見受けられず

Regarding the Matter of an Exchange Document
In the fourth month of Tenpō 5, Year of the Horse, when the town area was destroyed by fire,
we were ordered to widen the town streets and improve visibility
as a measure for emergency disaster prevention.
Accordingly, everyone widened the town streets and
constructed houses, but Ariga Jiuemon's two storehouses
should have been cut back in line with the town row. However, since there were many
reserve residential plots, the construction was repeatedly delayed.
Then this April, we were respectfully informed that
regarding storehouses that extend into the public road and were not related to the previous fire,
it would be acceptable to proceed with construction as they are.
We all humbly accepted this instruction. However, regarding Ariga Jiuemon's storehouse
in the Shinmachi section, which extends into the town row by seven ken and two sun,
if we leave this extension as it is, it will obstruct the view of the house row
and may become the foundation for future decline of the town district.
We petitioned the town officials about this matter and were deliberating,
but we do not observe circumstances that would warrant repeated claims of hardship.
