## 巡礼歌 **第一番 紀伊国 那智山** ふだらくや 岸打つ波は 三熊野の 那智のお山に 響く滝津瀬 **第二番 同(紀伊国) 紀三井寺** 故郷を はるばるここに 紀三井寺 花の都も 近くなるらん **第三番 同(紀伊国) 粉河寺** 父母の 恵みも深き 粉河寺 仏の誓い 頼もしの宮 **第四番 和泉国 槇尾寺** 深山路や 檜原松原 分け行けば 槇尾寺に 駒ぞいさめる **第五番 河内国 葛井寺** 参るより 頼みをかくる 葛井寺 花の台に 紫の雲 **第六番 大和国 壺阪寺** 岩を取りて 水をたたえて 壺阪の 庭の砂も 浄土なるらん **第七番 同(大和国) 岡寺** けさ見れば 角岡寺の 庭の苔 さながら奈良の 光なるらん **第八番 同(大和国) 長谷寺** いくたびも 参る心は 長谷寺 山も誓いも 深き谷川

## Pilgrimage Poems **First Temple: Nachi-san, Kii Province** Oh, Fudaraku! — The waves breaking on the shore of the three Kumano shrines; At Nachi's holy mountain, the sacred waterfall roars and resounds. **Second Temple: Kimii-dera, Kii Province** From distant homelands, travelers come from afar to Kimii-dera; Even the flower-filled capital must now be drawing near. **Third Temple: Kokawa-dera, Kii Province** Deep as the grace of one's own father and mother — so is Kokawa-dera; The Buddha's sacred vow — how reassuring is this shrine! **Fourth Temple: Makino-o-dera, Izumi Province** Along mountain paths, through cypress groves and pine forests I make my way; At Makino-o Temple, my horse lifts its spirit and steps lively. **Fifth Temple: Fujii-dera, Kawachi Province** From the moment I set out I place all my hopes and trust in Fujii-dera; On the lotus throne adorned with blossoms, purple clouds of grace gather. **Sixth Temple: Tsubosaka-dera, Yamato Province** Drawing water from the rocks, the pond brims with sacred water at Tsubosaka; Even the sands of the temple garden must surely be the Pure Land. **Seventh Temple: Oka-dera, Yamato Province** Looking out this morning, the moss in the garden of Tsunu-oka Temple — It seems to shine and glow, reflecting the light of Nara. **Eighth Temple: Hase-dera, Yamato Province** No matter how many times I make the pilgrimage, at Hase-dera the mountains and Buddha's vows alike run deep as the valley stream.
