## Pilgrimage Songs (continued)
**Seventeenth Temple: Rokuhara-dō, same (Kyoto)**
However heavy they may be,
surely the five sins need not remain—
for these are people who come
to worship at Rokuhara-dō.
**Eighteenth Temple: Rokkaku-dō, same (Kyoto)**
Within my heart that yearns and prays,
there are six sharp corners—
I pray only that they
may become rounded and smooth.
**Nineteenth Temple: Kōdō-ji, same (Kyoto)**
Gazing upon the flowers,
my hopes now rest in Kōdō—
even the thousand herbs
in the garden are in full bloom.
**Twentieth Temple: Yoshimine-dera, Yamashiro Province**
Past the fields, facing the mountain path
beneath a sky heavy with rain—
but beyond Yoshimine,
the evening shower clears.
**Twenty-first Temple: Anaō-ji, Tanba Province**
Born into such a world as this,
do not dwell on the hardship of Anaō—
just place your trust and call,
ten times, or even one.
**Twenty-second Temple: Sōji-ji, Tsu no Kuni (Settsu Province)**
Without exception,
high or low in station—at Sōji-ji,
there is none who does not
rely upon the Buddha's vow.
**Twenty-third Temple: Katsuo-dera, same (Settsu)**
However heavy the sins may be,
the teaching prevails at Katsuo-dera—
the one who trusts in the Buddha
shall surely find peace.
**Twenty-fourth Temple: Nakayama-dera, same (Settsu)**
Passing through the fields,
passing through the village, to Nakayama—
to make the pilgrimage to this temple
is for the sake of the life to come.
