　　　　先祖について、代々御当家の御先祖様の御譜代の者で、所々で御軍役を相勤めた。重正は岡崎三郎様にお仕えし、御他界以後は黒田如水の元に仕えた（判物を今も所持している）。小田原陣、朝鮮出兵等にお供し、その後大友氏の乱の時、豊後国立石合戦の折に如水の手より出陣し、吉弘加兵衛統幸という武将を討ち取り分捕した。吉弘統幸が指していた刀ならびにその折の黒田如水からの感状、また敵方からのその場の覚書の写し等を今も伝え持っている。大坂の陣の際は両年共に忠直公にお供し、その折に御旗本へ御使いとして参ったところ、権現様（徳川家康）の御前に召し出され、直接お答えを承った。その節、鍵槍一本を拝領し、今も所持している。

　　● Oguri Jiuemon Shigemasa (home province and birthplace both Mikawa, family name Taira)
　　　　Regarding his ancestors, they were hereditary retainers of our lord's ancestral family for generations, serving in military campaigns in various places. Shigemasa served Okazaki Saburō-sama, and after his death served under Kuroda Josui (he still possesses the written warrant). He accompanied [Josui] to the Odawara campaign, Korean campaigns, etc. Later, during the Ōtomo rebellion, at the Battle of Tateishi in Bungo Province, he fought under Josui's command and killed and captured the military commander Yoshihiro Kahyōe Muneyuki. He still preserves Yoshihiro Muneyuki's sword, Kuroda Josui's commendation letter from that time, and copies of battlefield records from the enemy side. During both years of the Osaka campaigns, he served Lord Tadanao, and when he went as a messenger to the main force, he was summoned before Lord Gongensama (Tokugawa Ieyasu) and received direct responses. On that occasion, he was granted a key-spear, which he still possesses.
