多賀谷左近方ニ浪人分ニ而罷有 忠直公御代久世但馬
御誅伐之時分左近ニ相従ヒ弓功有之師匠林六兵衛印可
相伝仕其上褒美之奥書加之候其後大坂御陣之時両年共
左近手ニ属シ罷有候内冬御陣御和睦之砌城兵竹田伝兵
衛ト申者飯島新左衛門由久ト書付有之矢ヲ二十六本持
参仕新左衛門ヲ相尋申聞候ハ城中エ諸手ヨリノ矢有之
候ヘ共此矢共程数多ク能入候無之候故射術抜群之儀ヲ
感入候間師弟ノ契約仕度之由望候而右ノ矢共ヲ相送リ
候故其内六本彼者ニ附与仕望之通師弟ノ約ヲ仕候其節
亦林六兵衛方ヨリ秘書一巻伝授仕候是モ褒美ノ奥書有

忠昌公の御代に別に御合力を下され、御鷹方を相勤めました。
同じ御代の正保元年甲申年（1644年）に跡知を下され、御鷹匠頭として以後段々と御役を仰せ付けられました。
大関助左衛門直正《生国は常陸、道号は常安》
吉品公の御代、貞享三年丙寅年（1686年）に家督を下されました。

召し出されました。
● 飯島新左衛門由久《本国・生国共に上総、姓は不明、初名は四郎右衛門》
多賀谷左近の方に浪人分として仕えていました。忠直公の御代、久世但馬
御誅伐の時分に左近に従い弓の功績がありました。師匠林六兵衛の印可を
相伝し、その上褒美の奥書も加えられました。その後大坂の陣の時、両年とも
左近の手に属していました。冬の陣で御和睦の砌、城兵の竹田伝兵衛という者が
「飯島新左衛門由久」と書き付けのある矢を二十六本持参し、新左衛門を
尋ねて申すには「城中へは諸手からの矢がありましたが、
この矢ほど数多く良く射込まれたものはありませんでした。射術抜群のことを
感じ入りましたので、師弟の契約をしたい」との望みで、右の矢を
送ってきました。そこでその内六本を彼に与え、望み通り師弟の約束をしました。その節
また林六兵衛の方より秘書一巻を伝授しました。これも褒美の奥書が
ありました。

During Lord Tadamasa's reign, in Genna 1, year of Kinoto-U (1615),
he was summoned.
● Iijima Shinzaemon Yoshihisa《home province and birth province both Kazusa, family name unknown, original name: Shirōuemon》
He served as a ronin retainer under Tagaya Sakon. During Lord Tadanao's reign, at the time of
the execution of Kuze Tajima, he followed Sakon and achieved merit with his bow. He received
certification from his teacher Hayashi Rokubei, and furthermore received a commendatory postscript. Later, during the Osaka campaigns, he
belonged to Sakon's forces in both years. During the winter campaign, at the time of the peace negotiations, a castle soldier named Takeda Denbei
brought twenty-six arrows inscribed with "Iijima Shinzaemon Yoshihisa" and sought out Shinzaemon,
saying: "There were arrows from various forces shot into the castle,
but none were shot as numerously and skillfully as these arrows. Being impressed by your exceptional archery,
I wish to make a master-disciple contract." He sent these arrows with this request.
Therefore, six of them were given to him, and the desired master-disciple agreement was made. At that time,
a secret manual was also transmitted from Hayashi Rokubei. This also had
a commendatory postscript.
