相勤知行七百石被下置候或時 御前エ被召出日来鉄砲
ヲ鍛煉仕候間今度武田勝頼遠州表エ出張有之帰陣之節
新坂切通ニ待請忍候而罷有鉄砲ニテ勝頼ヲ打候様ニト
被 仰付御請申上密ニ家来両人召連彼地エ罷越山林ニ

● 大谷儀左衛門知直《注記：本国は遠江、生国は相模、姓は不明、初名は清三郎》
知直の父は大谷清兵衛重之という。重之の養父は大谷八郎兵衛重
継という者で、浪人として遠州に居住していた。実父は味岡市平正之
といって、権現様（徳川家康）にお仕えし、石川日向守組の配下で大御番を
勤め、知行七百石を下されていた。ある時御前に召し出され「日頃鉄砲を
鍛錬しているので、今度武田勝頼が遠州方面に出張して帰陣する際、
新坂切通で待ち伏せして鉄砲で勝頼を撃つように」と
仰せ付けられ、お請けして密かに家来両人を連れて彼の地へ赴き、山林に
忍んでいたところ、この件が敵方に漏れ聞こえたのか、即座に捜し出され、ついに
敵のために殺された。その時市平の世嗣清兵衛重之は幼少であったためか、
跡目のお沙汰もなく所領は断絶した。これにより市平の妻は大谷八郎
兵衛という者の元へ再嫁した。清兵衛はまだ幼少であったので連れて行き

During Lord Tadamasa's reign, Genna 5, Year of the Earth Goat (1619), at Takada in
Echigo Province, summoned to service
● Ōtani Gizaemon Tomonao 《Note: Home province is Tōtōmi, birth province is Sagami, family name unknown, original name Seizaburō》
Tomonao's father was called Ōtani Seibei Shigeyuki. Shigeyuki's adoptive father was Ōtani Hachirōbei Shige-
tsugu, who lived in Enshū as a rōnin. His biological father was Ajioka Ichihei Masayuki,
who served Gongen-sama (Tokugawa Ieyasu), worked as ō-goban under Ishikawa Hyūga-no-kami's command,
and was granted a stipend of 700 koku. Once he was summoned before his lord and told, "Since you have been
training with firearms daily, when Takeda Katsuyori makes his expedition to the Enshū region and returns,
ambush him at the Niizaka mountain pass and shoot Katsuyori with your firearm."
He accepted the order and secretly took two retainers to that place, hiding in the mountain forests.
However, this plan apparently leaked to the enemy, and he was immediately discovered and ultimately
killed by the enemy. At that time, Ichihei's heir Seibei Shigeyuki was still young, so perhaps for this reason
there was no decision regarding succession, and the domain was discontinued. Consequently, Ichihei's wife
remarried to a man named Ōtani Hachirōbei. Since Seibei was still young, she took him along
