正年中正繁佐々内蔵助成政ト鉾楯ニ及小迫合度々有之
節半右衛門働共有之而加藤大藏ト申者ヲ討取其以後佐
々新右衛門手組田代与五郎ト申者ト鑓ヲ合セ又越中境
ノ城ニテ首壱討取其剋上杉景勝諸軍勢ノ中エ被呼出盃
ヲ給ル其時景勝感状于今所持仕候正繁死後其子半右衛
門モ相果土肥家譜代之者共散々ニ罷成半右衛門儀ハ
御家エ被 召出候

右の半右衛門の父、杤屋縫殿右衛門と申す者は上杉家の旗下で、越中
国新川郡弓之庄城主土肥美作守正繁の許に代々仕えておりました。天
正年中、正繁が佐々内蔵助成政と対立し、小競り合いが度々あった
際、半右衛門も働きがあり、加藤大蔵という者を討ち取りました。その後、佐
々新右衛門の手組の田代与五郎という者と槍を合わせ、また越中境
の城にて首一つを討ち取りました。その時、上杉景勝が諸軍勢の中へ呼び出し、盃
を与えました。その時の景勝の感状を今も所持しております。正繁の死後、その子の半右衛
門も相果て、土肥家譜代の者共は散り散りになり、半右衛門は
御家へ召し出されました。

Summoned to service at Takada in Echigo Province during Lord Tadamasa's reign

● Tochiya Hanemon, personal name unknown《Note: Home province unknown, birth province Etchū｜Family name unknown》
The father of the aforementioned Hanemon, a man named Tochiya Tondono'emon, served for generations under the banner of the Uesugi house, in service to Dohi Mimasaku-no-kami Masashige, lord of Yuminoshō Castle in Niikawa District, Etchū Province. During the Tenshō period, when Masashige came into conflict with Sassa Kuranosuke Narimasa and frequent skirmishes occurred, Hanemon also distinguished himself in battle and killed a man named Katō Daikura. Thereafter, he crossed spears with a man named Tashiro Yogorō from Sassa Shinemon's unit, and also took one head at a castle on the Etchū border. At that time, Uesugi Kagekatsu summoned him before all the assembled forces and bestowed upon him a cup. The letter of commendation from Kagekatsu from that time is still in his possession today. After Masashige's death, his son Hanemon also died, the hereditary retainers of the Dohi house were scattered, and Hanemon was summoned into [our lord's] service.
