よみかへり深々安穏しけり。老女親子もろともに
大師を拝し奉りよろこび家にかへりける。其とき
大師村をも加持し給へは其後は狼も出ず人をも害
せず。人民よろこび所もはんじやうと成けり。此事
今に至るまで此里の物語に伝へ侍ると也

よみがえり、深く安らかになった。老女は親子ともども大師を拝み奉り、喜んで家に帰った。そのとき大師が村をも加持なさると、その後は狼も現れず、人を害することもなくなった。人々は喜び、その土地も繁盛するようになった。この出来事は、今に至るまでこの里の語り伝えとして伝わっているということである。

— came back to life, recovering deeply and peacefully. The old woman, together with her son, reverently prostrated themselves before the Great Master and, filled with joy, returned home. At that time, the Great Master also performed *kaji* upon the village, and thereafter wolves no longer appeared and caused no further harm to the people. The villagers rejoiced, and the place came to prosper. It is said that this event has been passed down as a tale of this village right up to the present day.
