"To the south, it is bounded by the Southern Sea; to the north, by the Yamato River; to the east, by the province of Yamato; and to the west, by the valley of Mount Ōjin. I humbly wish to present this land to you [the Bodhisattva], so that through the ages, I may manifest my sincerest devotion to the harmony of the gods and the Buddha."
Thus spoke the deity.
