【御受法 并 三教指帰御作ある事】
其後やがて。和泉（いづみの）国（くに）。槙尾（まきのを）寺（てら）にともなひまい
らせて。御とし二十（はたち）と申に。つゐに御かみをおろ
させ給ひて。御 出家（しゆつけ）をとげさせ給ひ。すなはち
沙弥（しやみ）の十 戒（かい）。七十二の威儀（ゐぎ）を。さづかりたてま
つり。御 名（な）を教（けう）海（かい）と申けり。御 修行（しゆぎやう）おこた
らせたまはず。一しやう三だんの御 工夫（くふう）。より
は。夜もすがら瑜伽（ゆが）の法水（ほうすい）に。三 密（みつ）の月をす
まし。ひるはひめもすに。本地（ほんぢ）の風光（ふうくはう）に独虚（どくこ）の
観（くはん）をあきらめ。あふさきるさ。いねてもさめて
も御 持念（ぢねん）をこたらせ給はず。やがて御しゆ
ほうまし〳〵て。五大 虚空蔵（こくうさう）の法（ほう）。能満（のふまん）虚空（こくう）
蔵の法をさづからせ給ふて。又御名を如空（によくう）と
あらためたまひぬ。さづかりさせたまふところの
御法。御くはんねんじやうじゆまし〳〵ける

その後すぐに、和泉国槙尾寺に同行申し上げて、御年二十歳と申すときに、ついに御髪を下ろされ、御出家を遂げられた。すなわち沙弥の十戒、七十二の威儀を授かり申し上げ、御名を教海と申した。御修行を怠られることなく、一生三段の御工夫により、夜通し瑜伽の法水に三密の月を澄まし、昼は一日中、本地の風光に独虚の観を明らめ、寝ても覚めても御持念を怠らせ給わなかった。やがて御受法なさって、五大虚空蔵の法、能満虚空蔵の法を授からせ給うて、また御名を如空と改められた。授かりなされたところの御法を、御観念成就なさった。

【Concerning the Reception of Dharma and the Composition of Sangō Shiiki】
Shortly thereafter, he accompanied his master to Makio Temple in Izumi Province, and at the age of twenty, he finally shaved his head and achieved ordination as a monk. He received the ten precepts of a novice monk and the seventy-two dignified behaviors, and was given the name Kyōkai. He did not neglect his religious practice, and through his lifelong three-stage cultivation, he spent entire nights purifying the moon of the three mysteries in the dharma water of yoga, and during the day from dawn to dusk, he clarified the meditation on emptiness in the original ground's spiritual atmosphere. Whether sleeping or waking, he did not neglect his constant mindfulness. Soon he received the dharma transmission of the Five Great Ākāśagarbha and the Nōman Ākāśagarbha methods, and changed his name again to Nyokū. He achieved mastery in meditation of the dharma he had received.
