（草木の）色は、植えることなく馥郁（ふくいく）と香り、神徳をあらわしている。鄧林の梢も、これほどのものであろうかと思われるほど素晴らしく、その後ますます山は美しくなり、今の世に至るまでも茂った山であると伝えられている。

The colors (of the plants and flowers) were fragrant without ever having been planted, manifesting the divine virtue. One might wonder whether even the treetops of the Deng Forest could compare to such magnificence. After that, the mountain became ever more beautiful, and it is said that even to this day it remains a richly forested mountain.
