毎日の四方塞がり 前の十方塞がりと照らし合わせて、重なる日は必ず忌むべきである。
東〔卯・未・亥の日〕 北〔子・辰・申の日〕 西〔丑・巳・酉の日〕 南〔寅・午・戌の日〕
毎年の大金神・姫金神 万事において大凶の方角であり、恐れるべきである。
当丑年は戌・辰の向かいが合となり、来る寅年は立春の日より
亥・巳の方角が突き通しとなる。図の通りに巡ると知るべし。
【金神方位図】 暦の金神は「二四六金神」と言って、祟りは軽い。この中に
天金神・地金神があるが、とりわけ大金神・姫金神の祟りは、
命を失い、家を滅ぼすほどのことであるから、恐れるべきである。
この他に、本命的殺の大悪方、暦の金神塞がりなど、五日ずつ遊行する日の大凶方がある。方違えの法については追って記すべきである。
天官神の方角 ただし、向かいとすれば吉、転宅の際に後ろにすれば凶。

Daily *Shihō-fusagari* (Blockage of the Four Directions) — Cross-reference with the previously described *Jippō-fusagari*; on days where the two overlap, one must absolutely observe the taboo.

The Annual *Daikōjin* and *Hime-Kōjin* — These are directions of great inauspiciousness in all matters and are to be greatly feared.
In the current year of the Ox, the direction opposite Dog–Dragon (*inu–tatsu*) is the aligned direction; from the day of *Risshun* (the first day of spring) in the coming year of the Tiger,
the Boar–Snake (*i–mi*) axis will run straight through. Know that [the deity] moves about as shown in the diagram.
[Diagram of Kōjin Directional Positions] The *Kōjin* listed in the almanac is called the "*Ni-shi-roku Kōjin*" (Kōjin of 2, 4, and 6), whose curse is relatively light. Within this category there are the *Ten-Kōjin* (Heavenly Kōjin) and *Chi-Kōjin* (Earthly Kōjin), but above all, the curses of the *Daikōjin* (Great Kōjin) and *Hime-Kōjin* (Princess Kōjin) are such that they can cost one's life and bring ruin upon one's household — and thus are to be greatly, greatly feared.
Beyond these, there are also the greatly inauspicious directions of the *Honmei-tekisetsu* (one's personal destructive direction) and the *Kōjin-fusagari* (Kōjin Blockage) found in the almanac, as well as the greatly inauspicious directions associated with the wandering deity's schedule of five days at each position. Methods for *Kata-tagae* (direction-changing avoidance) will be described in due course.
The Direction of the *Tenkan-jin* (Heavenly Official Deity) — Facing toward this direction is auspicious; having it behind one when relocating one's residence is inauspicious.

1. Bearing in mind the principle of "do not forget the possibility of disorder even in times of peace," one should always be prepared in ordinary times for the possibility of a sudden fire breaking out.
Even in years that seem particularly calm and uneventful, one must not be negligent. The areas with many bridges should be considered foremost among one's escape routes.
