一同年閏八月廿四日御城代酒井与惣兵衛死去ニ付御城内御門等之鑰治部右衛門五郎左衛門方へ請取并与力足軽其外所々口留番人支配惣而与惣兵衛取扱候御用共御城代
跡役被仰付迄ハ両人申談諸事可相勤旨右治部右衛門五郎左衛門へ狛舎人申渡候 但此已後御国ゟ他国へ罷出ル女口留通手形裏判仕義も御城代役被仰付迄ハ両人可相勤候

中山十兵衛へ当時仮役可被仰付哉与相伺候処其通取扱可然旨ニ付十兵衛儀月番宅へ召呼仮役被
仰付候段申渡右ニ付十兵衛本役之儀ハ右仮役中ハ不相勤候事

一、宝永七年寅年正月二十三日、御城代有賀孫左衛門隠居につき仰せ付けられ、御城内御門等の鍵請け取り並びに与力その外足軽所々口留番所支配等まで残らず、御留守居永見治部右衛門・天方五郎左衛門仮支配仕るべきの旨、御座所にて両人へ狛舎人申し渡し候。同月二十九日、酒井与惣兵衛御城代役有賀孫左衛門跡仰せ付けられ、与力五騎足軽二十八人御預け、この外所々口留番人支配。
一、同年六月二十六日、御武具蔵にて虫干しこれある節、先年有賀孫左衛門に御城代仰せ付けられ候砌、御留守武具一覧仕り置き候由に候間、今度一覧仕るべきやの旨、御城代酒井与惣兵衛申し達し候。右御留守居永見治部右衛門・天方五郎左衛門をも同道にて罷り越し一覧あるべきの旨、本多四郎右衛門自宅にて与惣兵衛へ申し渡し候。

一、明和五年子年十二月八日、御徒頭酒井市十郎・浅見七十郎両人とも指し控え仰せ付けられ候につき、御座所泊り助の儀も相勤むべきの旨、右御徒頭代わり御側者頭、御徒仮支配は藤左衛門一人へ仰せ付けられ候なり。津田藤左衛門へ仰せ付けられ、御家老中直に申し渡され候。御出の節仲間両人ずつ御供罷り出で候様、御徒番所判元等吟味致すべきの旨。
一、同七年寅年正月二十日、右両人指し控え仰せ付けられ候につき、御側者頭葛巻庄兵衛儀、岡部左膳方宅へ召し呼ばれ、御徒頭ども指し控えの内、御徒支配の儀庄兵衛へ仰せ付けられ候。
一、総じて諸仮役仰せ付け置かれ候内、本役仰せ付けられ候はば、早速右仮役御免の儀、御家老中へ申し達し申すべき通事。
一、享保十六年亥年九月十一日、忍びの者仮預かり、御武具仮支配御側物頭岡半右衛門、山中へ湯治相願い候処、留守中御武具並びに忍びの者仮支配の儀、御目付ども月番支配致すべきの旨、稲葉采女方申し渡され候事【御武具支配忍びの者預かり井原丞助、江戸留守中半右衛門仮預かりなり】。
ただし忍びの者前々は御目付を以て御用も仰せ付けられ候儀を以て申し渡され候事【半右衛門御泉水預かりにつき右跡御徒頭へ仰せ付けられ候儀、湯治願いの部に出でこれ】。

一、享保十五年戌年八月八日、金津奉行井上半大夫病死につき、下方御締めのため御目付土屋十郎右衛門差し越され候の旨仰せ渡され、同日金津表へ罷り越し候。
一、元禄十一年寅年秋、金津奉行大宮彦右衛門御国絵図御用にて江戸表へ罷り出で、右跡海福瀬左衛門へ仰せ付けられ、彦右衛門留守中金津罷り越し居り候。彦右衛門罷り帰り候上、瀬左衛門引き取り申すべきの旨、御家老中より御目付へ申し渡され、御目付より瀬左衛門へ申し遣わす。
一、宝永五年子年正月九日、金津奉行大宮彦右衛門儀、年内中気煩い出で今以て確とこれなきの旨につき、御旗奉行海福瀬左衛門儀金津仮役仰せ付けられ候間、彼地へ罷り出で相勤むべきの旨、松平庄兵衛自宅にて御目付月番矢野権平差し加え、瀬左衛門へ申し渡しこれ。
一、宝暦五年亥年五月、絵奉行本多直右衛門病気につき引き込み、早速快気の趣にも相聞こえず、仍ってこれ御徒目付中山十兵衛へ当時仮役仰せ付けらるべきやと相伺い候処、その通り取り扱い然るべきの旨につき、十兵衛儀月番宅へ召し呼び仮役仰せ付けられ候段申し渡し、右につき十兵衛本役の儀は右仮役中は相勤めず候事。
ただし仮役の儀暫しの内助の道理にも候えば、前々ともに本役そのままにて相勤め為す事に候えども、この度の儀は御家老中へきっと伺いの上仮役の趣申し渡し候につき、本役の方は引き為し申す事なり。

On the 23rd day of the 1st month of Hōei 7 (1710), regarding castle keeper Ariga Magozaemon's retirement appointment, all matters including receiving keys to castle gates and supervision of attendant cavalry, foot soldiers, and checkpoint guards at various locations were to be temporarily supervised by castle caretakers Nagami Jibuemon and Amakawa Gorōzaemon. This was communicated to both men by Koma Toneri at the lord's quarters. On the 29th of the same month, Sakai Yosōbei was appointed as castle keeper succeeding Ariga Magozaemon, with five attendant cavalry and twenty-eight foot soldiers under his command, plus supervision of checkpoint guards at various locations.
1. On the 26th day of the 6th month of the same year, during the airing of weapons at the armory, since Ariga Magozaemon had previously inspected the reserve weapons when appointed castle keeper, castle keeper Sakai Yosōbei inquired whether he should conduct an inspection this time. Castle caretakers Nagami Jibuemon and Amakawa Gorōzaemon were also to accompany him for the inspection, as Honda Shirōemon instructed Yosōbei at his residence.

On the 24th day of the intercalary 8th month of the same year, due to castle keeper Sakai Yosōbei's death, the keys to castle gates were transferred to Jibuemon and Gorōzaemon, and all duties handled by Yosōbei including supervision of attendant cavalry, foot soldiers, and checkpoint guards at various locations were to be jointly managed by both men until a successor castle keeper was appointed, as Koma Toneri instructed Jibuemon and Gorōzaemon. Furthermore, the endorsement of travel permits for women leaving the domain for other territories was also to be handled jointly by both men until a new castle keeper was appointed. Both men's seal specimens were sent to guard posts to replace Yosōbei's seal specimen.

General temporary roles, temporary supervision, and concurrent duties
1. On the 8th day of the 12th month of Meiwa 5 (1768), foot unit commanders Sakai Ichijūrō and Asami Shichijūrō were both suspended from duty. Personal attendant commander津田藤左衛門 was appointed to temporary supervision of foot units. This was directly communicated by the senior councilors. When the lord goes out, colleagues should attend in pairs, and guard post seal verification should be conducted.
1. On the 20th day of the 1st month of the 7th year, regarding the suspension of both men, personal attendant commander Kuzumaki Shōbei was summoned to Okabe Sazen's residence and appointed to supervise foot units during the suspension of the foot unit commanders.
1. Generally, when various temporary roles are appointed, if regular appointments are made, the dismissal of temporary roles should be promptly reported to the senior councilors.
1. On the 11th day of the 9th month of Kyōhō 16 (1731), when personal attendant commander Oka Hanemon, who had temporary custody of ninja and temporary supervision of weapons, requested hot spring treatment, it was ordered that during his absence, the monthly duty inspectors would supervise weapons and ninja, as communicated by Inaba Uneme. [Weapons supervision and ninja custody belonged to Ihara Jōsuke; Hanemon had temporary custody during the Edo absence.]

1. On the 8th day of the 8th month of Kyōhō 15 (1730), due to the death from illness of Kanazu magistrate Inoue Handayū, inspector Tsuchiya Jūrōemon was dispatched to secure the area and departed for Kanazu the same day.
1. In autumn of Genroku 11 (1698), Kanazu magistrate Ōmiya Hikoemon went to Edo for domain map duties, and Kaifuku Sezaemon was appointed as his replacement. Sezaemon resided in Kanazu during Hikoemon's absence. The senior councilors instructed the inspectors that Sezaemon should withdraw after Hikoemon's return, and the inspectors communicated this to Sezaemon.
1. On the 9th day of the 1st month of Hōei 5 (1708), since Kanazu magistrate Ōmiya Hikoemon had suffered a stroke during the year and had not yet recovered, banner magistrate Kaifuku Sezaemon was appointed as temporary Kanazu magistrate and ordered to go there for duty. This was communicated to Sezaemon by monthly duty inspector Yano Gonpei in addition to Matsudaira Shōbei at his residence.
1. In the 5th month of Hōreki 5 (1755), painting magistrate Honda Naoemon became ill and withdrew. Since there was no immediate sign of recovery, it was proposed that foot inspector Nakayama Jūbei be appointed as temporary magistrate. This was deemed appropriate, so Jūbei was summoned to the monthly duty residence and appointed to the temporary role. During his temporary appointment, Jūbei did not perform his regular duties.
Note: Since temporary roles are meant to be short-term assistance, previously both regular and temporary duties were performed simultaneously. However, in this case, after properly consulting with the senior councilors and appointing the temporary role, the regular duties were suspended.
