尤組之者之儀ハ一右衛門病死達有之候ハヽ直ニ仮預り之儀是又半大夫へ申達同十一日左之通被仰付

但町奉行仮役ハ御目付之内長上下席之者有之候得ハ此者へ被仰付筈御目付之内ニ長袴席之
者無之候得ハ外役之者ニ而も長袴席之者へ被仰付事ニ付右之通熊谷小兵衛へ被仰付候事
一天保八酉五月町奉行鈴木彦太夫遠慮之節御目付奈良権大夫へ仮役被仰付候

一弘化三午五月御着城之節江端迄町奉行御出迎可罷出処奈良権大夫不快ニ付難罷出旨仍之
町奉行仮御目付之内ニ而可相勤儀与被存候間致評議申達候様御家老中被仰聞候ニ付同役令評議候者
町奉行不快中役所向取扱之儀ハ当人其儘相勤御家老中へ御達之儀ハ御目付取次申上候
事ニ候然処右御出迎之儀ハ支配之者締り之為出張与申儀ニも相聞不申披露而已ニ出張之様ニ相
見得候得ハ旁御目付ニ而町奉行代り相勤候ニハ及申間敷哉其上先年町奉行当日指掛り引込 有之節御徒頭ニ而披露相勤候先例も有之候間其通相成り候而ハ如何可有之哉乍去御高評ニ而
御目付ニ而罷出候様被仰付儀ニも候ハヽ御差図次第可仕旨申達候処如何様左ニ被存候間同役ニ而ハ不及
罷出候様御決評相成御家老中ゟ御用人へ披露之儀其向へ可申通旨被申聞筈ニ相極候処亦復

一、文化九年申年三月四日、御掃除奉行岸田善大夫病死、右の跡仮役御徒目付野坂源右衛門へ仰せ付けらるべきやと御家老中へ相伺い候上申し付けこれ。仍ってこれ判鑑一枚太鼓御門へ差し出しこれ。
一、文政五年午年九月十六日、上水奉行相沢武兵衛【矢嶋七郎右衛門】病死致し候につき、右跡【役仰せ付けらるるまで】仮役御徒目付水野清兵衛【頭取野坂源右衛門】へ仰せ付けらるべきやと御家老中へ相伺い候上申し付けこれ。その後文政の中頃、上水奉行高嶋藤九郎山中湯治留守中仮役御徒目付嶋田九郎左衛門へ仰せ付けらるべきやと相伺い候上申し付けこれ。
一、弘化四年未年七月六日、上水奉行高田弥市郎病死、右跡仮役御徒目付頭取大御番竹下丈大夫へ同八日仰せ付けられ候。
一、天保五年午年三月十三日、御花壇絵奉行原田清兵衛跡仮兼帯、御徒目付伴庄左衛門へ仰せ付けられ。
一、文政十二年丑年二月、御持弓頭尾高小右衛門病気につき江戸表より御返し成され、同役井上半大夫支度出来次第江戸詰仰せ付けられ罷り越し候処、跡にて小右衛門病死致し、屋敷奉行これなきにつき左の通り仰せ付けられこれ。
尾高小右衛門病死致し候につき跡役仰せ付けらるるまで 末席御側物頭

一、天保二年卯年九月九日、御持弓頭大谷一右衛門病死、同役松原善左衛門江戸留守につき、御用箱封じ付けにて御側物頭の内屋敷奉行仮仰せ付けらるべき順番井上半大夫へ相預け、鍵の儀は月番御目付へ預け置き、もっとも組の者の儀は一右衛門病死達これあり候はば直に仮預かりの儀、これまた半大夫へ申し達し、同十一日左の通り仰せ付けられ。

一、弘化三年午年五月御着城の節、江端まで町奉行御出迎え罷り出でべき処、奈良権大夫不快につき罷り出で難き旨、仍ってこれ町奉行仮御目付の内にて相勤むべき儀と存じ候間評議致し申し達し候様御家老中仰せ聞かれ候につき、同役評議致し候者、町奉行不快中役所向取り扱いの儀は当人そのまま相勤め、御家老中へ御達の儀は御目付取り次ぎ申し上げ候事に候。然る処右御出迎えの儀は支配の者締まりのため出張と申す儀にも相聞き申さず、披露のみに出張の様に相見え候えば、かたがた御目付にて町奉行代わり相勤め候には及び申すまじきや。その上先年町奉行当日指し掛かり引き込みこれある節、御徒頭にて披露相勤め候先例もこれあり候間、その通り相成り候てはいかが有るべきや。去りながら御高評にて御目付にて罷り出で候様仰せ付けらるる儀にも候はば、御差図次第仕るべきの旨申し達し候処、いかが様左に存じ候間、同役にては罷り出でに及ばず候様御決評相成り、御家老中より御用人へ披露の儀その向へ申し通すべき旨仰せ聞かるる筈に相極まり候処、また復左の通り同八日仰せ付けられ。

1. On the 4th day of the 3rd month of Bunka 9 (1812), cleaning magistrate Kishida Zendayū died of illness. After consulting with the senior councilors about whether foot inspector Nosaka Genemon should be appointed as temporary replacement, the appointment was made. Accordingly, one seal specimen was submitted to Taiko Gate.
1. On the 16th day of the 9th month of Bunsei 5 (1822), water supply magistrate Aizawa Takebei [Yajima Shirōemon] died of illness. After consulting with the senior councilors about whether foot inspector Mizuno Seibei [chief Nosaka Genemon] should be appointed as temporary replacement until a permanent appointment was made, this was arranged. Later, around the middle of the Bunsei era, when water supply magistrate Takashima Tōkurō went for hot spring treatment, foot inspector Shimada Kurōzaemon was appointed as temporary replacement after consultation.
1. On the 6th day of the 7th month of Kōka 4 (1847), water supply magistrate Takada Yaichirō died of illness. On the 8th day, foot inspector chief and senior guard Takeshita Jōdayū was appointed as temporary replacement.
1. On the 13th day of the 3rd month of Tenpō 5 (1834), foot inspector Ban Shōzaemon was appointed as temporary concurrent replacement for garden painting magistrate Harada Seibei.
1. In the 2nd month of Bunsei 12 (1829), archery commander Odaka Koemon became ill and was recalled from Edo. Fellow officer Inoue Handayū was ordered to proceed to Edo duty once preparations were complete, but Koemon died while still at home. Since there was no estate magistrate, the following appointment was made:
Since Odaka Koemon has died, until a successor is appointed Junior personal attendant commander
Temporary estate magistrate is appointed Sugiura Yūzō
1. On the 9th day of the 9th month of Tenpō 2 (1831), archery commander Ōtani Ichemon died. Since fellow officer Matsubara Zenzaemon was absent in Edo, the official documents were sealed and entrusted to Inoue Handayū, who was next in line among the personal attendant commanders for temporary estate magistrate appointment. The keys were entrusted to the monthly duty inspector. If news of Ichemon's death was received, his subordinates would immediately be placed under temporary custody, also to be communicated to Handayū. On the 11th day, the following appointment was made:
Since Ōtani Ichemon has died, temporary concurrent estate magistrate is appointed

1. During the Tenpō era, personal attendant commander Ido Jibei was appointed as temporary estate magistrate.
1. On the 16th day of the 4th month of Meiwa 5 (1768), when town magistrate Suzuki Tadatayū was ordered to exercise restraint, deputy administrator of domain holdings Kumagai Kobei was appointed as temporary town magistrate.
Note: For temporary town magistrate appointments, if there is someone of formal court dress rank among the inspectors, they should be appointed. If there is no one of formal hakama rank among the inspectors, someone of formal hakama rank from other posts should be appointed, which is why Kumagai Kobei was appointed.
1. In the 5th month of Tenpō 8 (1837), when town magistrate Suzuki Hikotayū was ordered to exercise restraint, inspector Nara Gondayū was appointed as temporary replacement.
Note: Gondayū held formal hakama rank.
1. In the 5th month of Kōka 3 (1846), during the lord's arrival at the castle, when the town magistrate was to go out to Ebata for the welcoming ceremony, Nara Gondayū was indisposed and unable to attend. Therefore, it was suggested that a temporary town magistrate from among the inspectors should serve, and the senior councilors ordered that this matter be discussed and reported. When colleagues deliberated, they concluded that while the indisposed town magistrate would continue handling office affairs as usual, reports to the senior councilors would be conveyed through the inspectors. However, since the welcoming ceremony was not heard to be for supervising subordinates but appeared to be merely ceremonial attendance, it was questioned whether an inspector should serve as town magistrate substitute. Moreover, there was precedent of foot commanders handling announcements when town magistrates were temporarily withdrawn due to urgent matters on the day. They reported that while they would follow whatever high-level decision was made regarding inspector attendance, they felt it might not be necessary for colleagues to attend. The senior councilors decided that attendance was not required and that this should be communicated to the appropriate office through the chamberlain. However, the following appointment was made on the 8th day:
