駕乗願之部可見合
一京都御留守居之者御役料被下得ハ御役馬繋申筈候処急度御免ハ無之候得共御役
料を以駕相用候最前ハ外ニ駕代被下置候得共近年駕代不被下候ニ付右之通也
但明和七寅年今立六右衛門京都御留守居ゟ御先者頭ニ被仰付其後京都御留守居相止
候事
一文化七午十二月十一日大工頭寺木十太夫御料理人高野勇吉吉田新兵衛高嶋金三郎」当時勤方御免御留守御番組へ被入候
一同八未閏二月廿五日跡部俊助」親彦一郎休息家督無相違被下置御留守番組へ被入候
【朱書】但此後御切米取之内師役其外家業有之者ハ大御番入其余ハ都而御留守番組へ被入候事尤此以前も七人以下少御ふち方

駕籠乗車願いの部 参照のこと
一、京都御留守居の者は御役料を下されるなら御役馬を繋ぐ筈であるところ、厳格な御免許はないけれども、御役料をもって駕籠を用いている。最初は別に駕籠代を下し置かれていたが、近年駕籠代を下されないため、右の通りである。
ただし明和7年（1770）寅年、今立六右衛門が京都御留守居より御先者頭に仰せ付けられ、その後京都御留守居は廃止された。
一、文化7年（1810）午12月11日、大工頭寺木十太夫・御料理人高野勇吉・吉田新兵衛・高嶋金三郎は当時勤方御免で御留守御番組へ入れられた。
一、同8年（1811）未閏2月25日、跡部俊助は親彦一郎の休息家督を相違なく下し置かれ、御留守番組へ入れられた。
【朱書】ただしこの後、御切米取の内で師役その外家業がある者は大御番入り、その余は全て御留守番組へ入れられる。もっとも、これ以前も七人以下少御扶持方取りは御留守番へ入れられていた。これは御手当のためであろう。
一、文化9年（1812）申年に御規定となった△印五ヶ条の内 外の二ヶ条は跡式を仰せ付けられた部に出ている。
△一、大御番組人数五十人の定員に御定めになられること
ただし明後戌年の御番割の節に公表すべきこと
△一、大御番組五十人の内に空きがある分は、御番割の節に無役御留守番の内より御入人に仰せ付けられること

Section on Palanquin Riding Requests - For Reference
1. Those serving as Kyoto caretakers should keep official horses if they receive official stipends, but while there is no strict permission, they use palanquins with their official stipends. Initially, separate palanquin fees were provided, but in recent years no palanquin fees have been given, hence this arrangement.
However, in Meiwa 7 (1770), Imadate Rokuemon was appointed from Kyoto caretaker to advance guard head, after which the Kyoto caretaker position was abolished.
1. On the 11th day of the 12th month of Bunka 7 (1810), Master Carpenter Teraki Jūtayū, Chef Takano Yūkichi, Yoshida Shinbei, and Takashima Kinzaburō were exempted from current duties and assigned to the caretaker guard unit.
1. On the 25th day of the intercalary 2nd month of Bunka 8 (1811), Ato be Shunsuke received the inheritance rest period for his father Hikoichirō without issue and was assigned to the caretaker guard unit.
[Vermillion note] However, hereafter, among rice stipend recipients, those with teaching roles or other family occupations enter the great guard, while all others are assigned to caretaker guard units. Naturally, even before this, those receiving seven or fewer small stipends were assigned to caretaker guard. This was likely for financial management purposes.

△ 1. The great guard unit personnel shall be fixed at fifty members
However, this shall be publicly announced at the guard assignment in the year after next (year of the dog)

△ 1. Even fief holders who are young, ill, or have special circumstances shall be assigned to inactive caretaker guard
