ただし世話役の件は別段のこと。八百里言によると、無役御留守番の面々は五節句・八朔の登城を仰せ付けられた件は末尾に記載している。
一、全ての取扱いはこれまでの御留守番次第と心得るべきこと

【朱書】文政2年（1819）巳2月7日、天方金五右衛門・富永孫四郎が無役御留守番支配を仰せ付けられ、この時より両人体制となった。

ただし弘化3年（1846）午年、新番御貝役2人の内、織田金左衛門は御定年数より1、2年不足であるが出精して勤めているため御書院番入りを仰せ付けられた。よって御旗本貝5人、御先貝1人となったが、井原源兵衛へ予め右様になっては御軍役の件はいかがかと内伺いしたところ、御軍役には御旗本より御先へ1人派遣するので、都合8人の数さえ不足なければ左の通りで良いとの旨申し達された。御軍帳掛り八百里
一、宝永3年（1706）戌5月25日、番頭・支配頭の面々へ本多四郎左衛門方より申し渡された覚え書き ただし折紙に調えて相渡された

面々の番組の者にその外支配の者に不行跡な者があれば、一通りは用捨も仕る儀であるが、対役の件であるので同役で相談・吟味の上、遠慮なく月番御家老中へ相達すべし。脇より相知れば越度となる旨
一、正徳元年（1711）卯11月28日、左の通り仰せ渡された：
面々の番組並びに支配に不行跡な件があれば、一通り用捨も仕るであろうが、対役の件であるので同役で相談して月番御家老へ相達すべし旨、先の御代に仰せ出された。然る上は、その身の行跡が良く御奉公年数を重ね相勤め、役儀無私精に入る者はこれまた吟味の上達すべし旨、思し召しである。その意を得るべきこと
一、今の触頭という役名は御供触頭の略である。宝永の頃には御供触頭と仰せ付けられ、寛政の頃に御触頭と仰せ付けられた。
一、明和5年（1768）子7月20日、鈴木百助・坂井半十郎・横田勝之助・中沢助四郎右4人に御差料掛りを仰せ付けられた。よって上役所へ3人共に罷り越して御道具引渡し、御差料のみその外小道具・御服紗を相渡す。御用談の件は御次において申し談ずるよう。御内仏預りの件は只今までの通り仰せ付けられた。右出入等御次より罷り越す件はこれまでの通りに仕るよう、御中老渋谷権左衛門殿へ仰せ付けられた。
