被申聞候ニ付覚書付壱通ツヽ組支配有之面々へ相達之左之通

一諸組諸下代御侍中へ対シ途中抔ニ而心得方相違之者も相聞候ニ付入念候様可申聞事
一御門所御番人心得方相違之趣も相聞候間念入候様可申付事
一諸組召抱候節幼年之者抔召抱候儀ハ無拠訳合有之儀ハ格別心得方可有之事ニ
候間厚吟味有之候様被仰付候事
一諸組致立替候儀ニ付実々病気ハ格別家内不和或ハ養子抔申分有之立替等相願候
者ハ吟味之上跡不相立候様被仰付候事
一諸組家銀等之事近来猥之趣も相聞候間厳重ニ申付候様被仰付候事

上相達来候然処当年ゟ諸組并御駕之者迄名元吟味之儀御目付引受ニ被仰付則御帳
十九冊御用人ゟ相廻候右ニ付左之通姓名書付差出候様夫々長左衛門宅へ相招書付を以申達
之候且又其節組之者召抱之節心得方等之儀も一紙ニ書載来ル廿六日迄ニ指出候様申達
置候処追々指出候間御帳名元相違之儀致加筆大宮彦右衛門へ相達之
一以後組之者召抱候節御定之年数不相満跡之儀ハ勿論相満候跡召抱候儀も都
而問合之上可被召抱旨ニ候
一組之者名元書是迄ハ御用人迄被差出候得共以後御目付迄可被指出候尤認方之儀ハ是

現代語訳
一、享和二年戌二月十三日、諸組諸下代共へ心得のため別紙書付をもってそれぞれへ相達すべき旨を御家老中が申し聞かせられたので、覚書付一通ずつを組支配のある面々へ相達した。左の通り
覚
一、諸組諸下代が御侍中に対して途中などで心得方を間違える者も聞こえるので、入念にするよう申し聞かせること
一、御門所御番人の心得方が間違っている趣も聞こえるので念入りにするよう申し付けること
一、諸組で召し抱える際、幼年の者などを召し抱えることはやむを得ない事情がある場合は格別だが、心得方があることなので、厚く吟味があるよう仰せ付けられたこと
一、諸組で交代することについて、本当の病気は格別だが、家内不和あるいは養子などを申し分とした交代等を相願いする者は、吟味の上で跡が立たないよう仰せ付けられたこと
一、諸組の家銀等のこと、近来みだりな趣も聞こえるので厳重に申し付けるよう仰せ付けられたこと

一、文化五年辰六月十九日、御持筒組の者の身元の分はこれまで御用人から申し来たので御目付方で吟味の上相達して来た。しかし当年から諸組並びに御駕の者まで身元吟味のことを御目付引受に仰せ付けられ、すなわち御帳十九冊を御用人から相回した。これについて左の通り姓名書付を差し出すようそれぞれ長左衛門宅へ相招き、書付をもって申し達した。かつまたその節、組の者を召し抱える節の心得方等のことも一紙に書き載せ、来る二十六日までに指し出すよう申し達して置いたところ、追々指し出したので、御帳身元相違のことを加筆して大宮彦右衛門へ相達した。
一、以後組の者を召し抱える節、御定の年数を満たさない跡のことはもちろん、満たした跡を召し抱えることもすべて問い合わせの上召し抱えるべき旨である
一、組の者の身元書はこれまでは御用人まで差し出していたが、以後は御目付まで指し出すべきである。もっとも書き方のことはこれまで御用人へ差し出していた通りでよい旨である

1. On the 13th day of the 2nd month of Kyōwa 2 (1802), the senior councilors instructed that separate written notices should be communicated to all groups and deputies for their understanding, so memoranda were distributed one copy each to those with group supervision authority, as follows:
Memorandum
1. Since some among the various groups and deputies are heard to have incorrect understanding regarding their conduct toward the samurai retainers while traveling, they should be instructed to be more careful
1. Since incorrect understanding regarding conduct by gate guards is also heard, they should be ordered to be more attentive
1. When various groups employ people, employing young persons requires unavoidable circumstances as an exception, but since there are proper procedures to follow, it is ordered that thorough investigation be conducted
1. Regarding replacements in various groups, genuine illness is an exception, but those who petition for replacement citing domestic discord or adoptive son matters should be investigated and ordered so that no succession is established
1. Regarding household silver of various groups, since improper conduct has been heard recently, it is ordered that strict instructions be given

1. On the 19th day of the 6th month of Bunka 5 (1808), regarding background checks for matchlock group members, these had previously been submitted by chamberlains and communicated after investigation by the inspector's office. However, from this year forward, background investigations for all groups including palanquin bearers were assigned to the inspector's office, and nineteen record books were sent from the chamberlain's office. Regarding this, instructions were given to submit name lists as follows, summoning everyone to Chōzaemon's residence and communicating through written notice. Additionally, procedures for employing group members were also written on one sheet, with instructions to submit by the 26th. As these were gradually submitted, corrections were made to discrepancies in the official records and communicated to Ōmiya Hikoemon.
1. Hereafter, when employing group members, whether for positions where the required years of service are not completed or for completed service positions, all should be employed only after consultation
1. Background documents for group members were previously submitted to chamberlains, but hereafter should be submitted to inspectors. However, the writing format should remain the same as previously submitted to chamberlains
