一、御国で御姫様が所々へ御参詣される時、御供一人が御先へ詰める。
一、御発駕の時、下馬御門外へ一人が出て行列立てを改める。

一、江戸で御取立ての侍が中詰めを申さない時、御使者を勤める。

【下段朱書き】正徳三年巳六月二日、総じて操り場へ今まで御徒目付一人ずつ毎日差し出していたが、この以後四五日に一度ずつ遣わして差し支えない。並びに御目付足軽共毎日両人ずつ遣わすということだが、人の都合が合わない時は一人でも差し支えない。以後右の通り申し付けるよう御目付月番長谷川仁兵衛へ本多修理が申し渡した。
一、勧進能並びに相撲がある時、御城下近所であれば出る。併せて近年は少し隔たっていても見廻りなど勤めることもある。

一、御留守年に御座所で拭き掃除等がある時、御徒目付を差し出すはず。
一、御本丸で諸士の面々へ御料理を下される時、七ツ蔵に溜まっている折、御徒目付が見廻りを申すはず。

一、御留守年に御徒目付一人ずつ上方下方へ組の者一人ずつ半甲を着けて付き添わせて遣わす。
ただし前々はこのようであったが、近年御徒目付両人ずつ遣わして組は付き添わせていないが、明和六年丑年に同役が申し談じた上で、前々の通り御徒目付一人に組一人ずつ上下へ遣わす。右組の者は分役ではなく組役の順で遣わす。古い覚書には十月中旬頃差し出すとあるが、近年早く出るため明和六年には八月十一日に指し出す。上方は高須直右衛門、下方は山品忠兵衛。
一、御預所郷廻りのことも御徒目付一人組一人と申し渡しているが、赤尾曽兵衛、関幸左衛門などまだ廻在を仕していないため、当年は古役と一緒に上下へ両人ずつ相廻って見習うようにしたい旨申すため、当年限りその通りに申し聞かせる。一手は山品忠兵衛・赤尾曽兵衛、一手は岡十次兵衛・関幸左衛門を差し出した。
一、御制札の場替えの時は見分のため遣わす。
一、郡方で出入り吟味がある時差し出す例。吟味僉議の部に出ている。
一、文化九年申十月二十日の御趣意により左の通り仰せ出された。

御徒目付役を仰せ付けられた者は、これまで三石御増で都合十八石三人扶持を下されていたが、以来は役中三石御足し充行を下され、転役の時は下し置かれないこと。

But in Meiwa 6, year of the ox (1769), after consultation among colleagues, the previous practice was resumed of sending one ashigaru metsuke with one group member each to upper and lower regions. The group members are sent not as separate duties but in order of group duty rotation. Old memoranda state departure in mid-October, but in recent years earlier departure has occurred, so in Meiwa 6 they departed on August 11th. Upper region: Takasu Naoemon, lower region: Yamashina Chūbei.

Regarding rural patrol of directly administered territories, instructions were given for one ashigaru metsuke and one group member, but since Akao Sobei, Seki Kōzaemon and others have not yet conducted patrols, this year they requested to patrol upper and lower regions in pairs with experienced officials for training purposes.
