**Right folio:**
A bridge collapsed (and was submerged). There is an official notice board (kosatsu). Kamimizuchi village suffered no flooding. A small area was washed away; all of Arakami-jō evacuated to higher ground. All of Takefusa was inundated, including the Tendai sect mountain ascetic temple Kongō-ji, which was flooded — as seen from the hillside, (residents) had evacuated. Below Kami-jō, water pooled further at Tatara Falls, causing the falls themselves to disappear. Shinmachi, with 450 households and an official notice board, along with the Jōdo sect Kannon-ji temple — all of these were completely submerged. Shimo-ichiba was entirely flooded, with boats present. In the middle of the flood lake, at Makinoshima — over one ri away — there is an official notice board and the Jōdo sect Fukuō-ji temple; only the temple was flooded. The old castle ruins were submerged over 180 ken, though the village itself was not flooded. From Ōhara Shrine to Makinoshima and Genbazuka, the flood lake extended approximately 20 chō. Ōhara had 67 households and a bamboo grove.
**Left folio:**
The Zen sect Shōfuku-ji temple was entirely submerged. Shikamichi: 4 households; Wada: over 13 households, all submerged. Hina: 43 households, all submerged. The Tōei-zan direct branch temple, the Tendai sect Zenryū-ji, escaped damage. Chihara: 16 households, and additionally the Zen sect Jōkō-ji was submerged. The width of the flood lake was approximately 550 ken. Kawaguchi: 36 households, with boats. Hashiki: 22 households, with an official checkpoint — all submerged; the width of the flood lake was approximately 350 ken. Kami-Yasukawa: 3 households; Ojima: 2 households. This village's valley was blocked by a mountain collapse, filling it in and creating a large pond. Shimo-Ōoka was entirely submerged. There were boats in Taira village. From Etchūgawa to the vicinity of Gosōshi Shrine, all of the aforementioned villages were flooded. From here it becomes the Matsumoto domain, with Tochizawa Shimo-mura entirely flooded and Kami-mura spared. (There is) a bamboo grove.
