口上書之覚
満光寺中町屋敷地之儀ニ付去ル八月廿一日境屋
岩太郎江売渡之相談檀中一同評決仕候ニ付
私共譲渡之本証文江惣代之調印仕其後
方丈様思召ニ依而無拠岩太郎方江破談之
改状七人ニ而差遣し申候右ニ付岩太郎ゟ御願立ニ
相成何共奉恐入候此度外檀頭中ゟ差上候書面江
印形不仕候儀者右惣代之調印御座候故心配仕
候処天保年中之御振合も不弁段奉恐入候
此上右屋敷地代ニ而差置ニ相成候様奉願上候

口上書の覚
満光寺の中町屋敷地の件につき、去る八月二十一日に境屋岩太郎へ売り渡すことの相談を檀家一同で評決いたしましたので、私どもは譲渡の本証文へ総代として調印いたしました。その後、方丈様のお考えにより、やむを得ず岩太郎方へ破談の改め状を七人で差し遣わし申しました。これにつき岩太郎より御願いが立てられることとなり、まことに恐れ入ります。この度、他の檀家総代中より差し上げました書面へ印形をいたしませんでした件は、右の総代の調印がございます故、心配いたしておりますところ、天保年中のお取り扱い例も不案内な段、恐れ入ります。
この上は、右屋敷地代金でそのまま差し置きとなりますよう願い上げます。

Memorandum of Oral Statement
Regarding the matter of Mankōji Temple's Nakamachi estate land, on the 21st day of the eighth month last year, all parishioners deliberated and decided on the consultation to sell it to Sakaiya Iwatarō. Therefore, we signed the main deed of transfer as representatives. Subsequently, according to the head priest's wishes, we unavoidably sent a cancellation document to Iwatarō's side with seven people. Regarding this matter, a petition has been submitted by Iwatarō, which we deeply regret.
The reason we did not affix our seals to the document submitted this time by the other parishioner representatives is that the aforementioned representative signing exists, which causes us concern. We are also embarrassed by our unfamiliarity with the precedents from the Tenpō era.
We humbly request that the matter be left as is with the payment for the said estate land.
