此度伊那道筋中馬荷物出入御座候ニ付為 御見分
菊地惣内様川嶋藤八様被遊 御出御吟味中
荷物附通之儀奉願上候所江戸表江被為遊 御窺候間
当御役所ゟ御沙汰可有御座由被 仰渡候依之乍恐
奉窺候此上御沙汰次第被 仰付被下置候様奉願上候御事

恐れながら口上書をもって伺い申し上げる件
このたび伊那道筋の中馬荷物の出入りがございましたので、ご見分のため菊地惣内様、川嶋藤八様がお出ましになり、ご吟味中に荷物通行の件をお願い申し上げましたところ、江戸表へお伺いを立てられることになり、当役所からご指示があるとのことをおっしゃられました。つきましては恐れながらお伺い申し上げます。この上はご指示次第、お取り計らいくださいますようお願い申し上げます。
右の通りお願い申し上げた件につき、江戸表のご指示の趣旨をお取り計らいくださいますならば、ありがたい仕合わせと存じます。以上

A Matter Humbly Submitted for Inquiry Through This Written Statement
Recently, there has been movement of cargo by packhorse transport (nakama) along the Ina road. For inspection purposes, Mr. Kikuchi Sōnai and Mr. Kawashima Tōhachi came to conduct an examination. During their investigation, we petitioned regarding the passage of cargo, whereupon they informed us that the matter would be referred to Edo for inquiry, and that instructions would come from the current administrative office. Therefore, we humbly submit this inquiry. We request that appropriate measures be taken according to the forthcoming instructions.
Regarding the above petition, if the directives from Edo are implemented as requested, we would consider it a most grateful outcome. The above stated.
