有之藤左衛門役中ニ取上証文も

相成候て代半右衛門証文預り

罷在候藤左衛門方ニ而者明光寺
帳面一式送り候と申候得共
無御座候帳面者受取不申候

現代語訳
内、金二匁三分 勘定帳に
銭百五十文 付け出し分
右について村役人が申すには、藤左衛門が天保九年
より四ヶ年、名主役を務めた内で、
明光寺の過米の内、引き負けに相成った
分を取り調べ証文に相成った所、明光寺
勘定帳へ金二両三分銭百五十文を
付け出しましたが、証文とも引き合わず、もっとも
元帳も差し出しません。
なお又申すには、外の者へも貸し付けが
あり、藤左衛門の役中に取り上げ証文も
返し申しましたが、自分の分も皆済に
相成って、代官半右衛門の証文を預かり
おりますので戻すべき処、そのままに打ち過ぎ
罷り在ります。藤左衛門方では明光寺の
帳面一式を送ったと申しますが、
ございません。帳面は受け取りません。
これがあり、取立帳がございませんでは、以前の
出金の分もいかがございます。
取り調べが出来ませんので懸念
いたします段申すの。

Regarding the above, the village officials state that during the four years from Tenpō 9 when Tōzaemon served as village headman, an investigation was conducted into the portion of Myōkōji Temple's excess rice that resulted in losses, and this became documented in certificates. While 2 ryō 3 bu in gold and 150 mon in coins were entered into Myōkōji Temple's accounting ledger, these do not match with the certificates, and moreover, the original ledgers have not been submitted.
Furthermore, they state that there were also loans to other parties, and during Tōzaemon's term of office, collection certificates were returned. Since his own portion was also completed and he holds certificates from deputy Hanemon, these should be returned, but they remain as they were and continue to exist. While Tōzaemon's side claims to have sent a complete set of Myōkōji Temple ledgers, these do not exist. The ledgers were not received. With these circumstances and no collection ledgers available, there are concerns about the previous disbursements as well. Since a proper investigation cannot be conducted, we are troubled by this matter.
