伊達助三郎殿の実弟、田手亥之助へ、このたび御知行八十貫文を新規にお与えになり、苗字を小梁川と仰せ付けられましたので、御本牒（知行目録）を添付し、現在の地形・当物成（現在の年貢収納高）より割り渡し、御朱印下書（朱印状の草案）を作成するよう申し渡されるべきものであります。
ただし、小梁川金之允が存命中に養子の願いを申し上げなかったため、跡式（家督相続）については（一旦）決着がついておりましたが、小梁川の家は格別の事情があり、その上、肥前殿へのご配慮（ご縁故）も加わり、田手亥之助が小梁川の苗字と跡を相続されることとなり、御一

To Tade Inosuke, the younger brother of Lord Date Sukesaburō: this time, a new stipend of eighty kanmon in domain revenue (*chigyo*) is hereby granted, and the family name Koyanagawa is conferred upon him. Accordingly, you are hereby directed to attach the official stipend register (*hontō*), allocate the lands from the current land surveys and annual yield assessments (*tō monona*ri), and prepare a draft of the vermillion-seal document (*goshuinjō*).
However, since Koyanagawa Kin'no'jō had passed away without having formally submitted a petition for the adoption of an heir during his lifetime, the matter of succession (*atoshiki*) had already been formally resolved [i.e., the family line was considered extinct]. Nevertheless, the Koyanagawa household is a matter of special circumstances, and furthermore, in consideration of the connection to Lord Hizen, Tade Inosuke is hereby granted succession to the Koyanagawa surname and family line, and the [御一
