現代語訳
実に積を置き、三乗の法で位を見る時は百位である。商に九百と立てる。下法で再び上がり九百と立法にて、下法に商を乗ずる。九×九＝八億一万として、再・一・十・百と上がって商を法に乗ずる。八×九＝七垓二京、一×九＝九兆。実でこれを除く。実に余り二垓三京二兆五億四千八百万三坪。
下法の九百を三で乗じて二千七百と置く。一位ずつ退いて、商の九百の次に八十と置く。さて法にて下法に商を皆乗ずる。二×九＝一億八、二×八＝一万六千、七×九＝六万四、七×八＝五千六百。再法を一十百上がって商の八十をもって乗ずる。二×八＝一垓六京、六×八＝四京八兆、四×八＝三兆二億、六×八＝四億八万。実でこれを除く。次に角引きする。

Divide by the actual number. The remainder in the actual number is 2 gai 3 kyō 2 chō 5 oku 4 sen 8 hyaku man 3 tsubo.
Multiply 900 of the lower method by 3 to get 2,700. Retreat by one position and place 80 next to 900 in the quotient. Now using the method, multiply all quotients by the lower method. 2×9 = 180,000,000, 2×8 = 16,000, 7×9 = 640,000, 7×8 = 5,600. Take the second method up by units, tens, hundreds and multiply by the quotient 80. 2×8 = 1 gai 6 kyō, 6×8 = 4 kyō 8 chō, 4×8 = 3 chō 2 oku, 6×8 = 4 oku 80,000. Divide by the actual number. Next, perform square subtraction.
