【Right Page】 "...take my leave. As my studies are not yet fully accomplished, I shall return to Mount Komagata and, as that mysterious person instructed, enter the way of the immortals (sendō), and once I have again attained divine powers, I shall all the more serve to protect my lord." He took his leave earnestly also from the assembled generals. Yoshitsune too said, "If not for your coming and your service this time, it would have been difficult to defeat the great enemy at Shibushari"—and was all the more reluctant to part with him. But since [Kaison] showed no sign whatsoever of remaining, he received his leave [and said], "Come across again when the time comes. If I too bring this island under my rule, there should be an occasion for us to meet again," and so forth it appears. Indeed, it may be that because there was said to be an immortal at this Komagata Peak, places called Senboku (仙北, "North of the Immortals") and Sengoku (仙谷, "Valley of the Immortals") came to exist. In the year called Bunsei 9 (1826), the 29th day of the fifth month, written here at Yamakita. 【Left Page】 Tsuki no Dewa-ji Seki no Karishiba no Maki, Volume One Tsuchide-no-Sō Sakai-ura
