現代語訳
ならば上に名前を書いて、よく印を付けて渡すべきである。そうでなければ必ず後に人との争いが起こるものである。何度も聞いたことがあるので記しておく。
一、穴蔵を掘る場所もなく、頼むべき蔵もない人は、できる限り良い着物を着替えて、各自相応に銭を、前の段に書いた通り簡素にまとめて入れておいた櫃や皮籠を持って避難すべきである。見た目が見苦しければ、避難先で用事を済ませることができないものである。
また、銭がなくて金ばかりでは食事など、その他少しの用事にも不便で難儀するものである。ただ身に付けた物ほど確実なものはないので、身分の軽い人々は常にこの心構えをしておくべきことである。
一、車長持で家財を運び出そうとする人は、あらかじめ大切な物を簡素にまとめて入れておき、急な火事ならば手軽に素早く引き出すべきである。欲に任せて長持の上にも多くの物を積み
