ず又火をふせぐ便（たよ）りにも成べき事
一 出火（しゆつくは）の節｜家（いゑ）あやうく見へば碓（からうす）にも水を
くみ入ぬれむしろを懸（かけ）おくべき事
一 遠方（ゑんほう）の出火（しゆつくは）にても風烈（かぜはげしき）ときは風かみ風
しもの吟味（きんみ）にも及（およ）はず早（はや）く取｜仕舞（しまい）した
くすべし風は俄（にはか）に変（かは）る事あり又｜爪（そう）にも
ふ時（じ）の出火もはかりかたし兎角（とかく）度々（とゞ）しま
ひなれては巧者（こうしや）になりて急火（きうくは）の時に働（はたらき）
よきものなり隙（ひま）のついへは僅（わつか）の事にて
もし覚悟（かくこ）なく類焼（るいしやう）せは損亡（そんもふ）後悔ある

一 火事のせつ働（はたら）くもの大勢あらは主人は四方へ心
をくばり只しづかにあやまちなきやうに蔵（くら）の
奥（おく）よりよくおし付けてかさねて入よまとの際（きわ）
現代語訳
ず、また火を防ぐ手立てにもなることである。
一 出火の際、家が危険に見えれば、臼にも水を汲み入れ、濡れむしろを掛けておくべきことである。
一 遠方の出火であっても風が激しい時は、風上風下の吟味にも及ばず、早く片付け仕度をすべきである。風は急に変わることがあり、また爪先ほどの小さな火の出火も計り難いものである。とにかく度々片付けに慣れていれば上手になり、急な火事の時に良く働けるものである。
手間の費用は僅かなことで、もし覚悟なく類焼すれば損失と後悔があるだろうことである。
出火の際、ろうそくを立てる所、提灯を吊るす所を予め灯して見て、都合の良い所へ貼り札をしておくべきことである。
一 火事の際働く者が大勢いれば、主人は四方へ心を配り、ただ静かに間違いないように蔵の奥からよく押し付けて重ねて入れ、戸口の際まで
