現代語訳
で溶いて付けるのもよい。右の内で手元にあるものを素早く付けるべきである。全て焼傷の後に水を付けると、ことのほか痛むものである。焼傷の痛みには、その箇所をもう一度火で炙ると痛みが止まるものである。このような事は平常から覚えておいて、人にも教えておくべき事である。
一、火消しの手伝いに来た事情を知らない人であれば、その来た人を屋根の上やその他水配りに使うべき事。
一、夜更けの出火やその他急な事であっても、戸を叩かれてもむやみに戸を開けてはならない。戸を早く開ければ押し込み強盗などの乱暴狼藉の事があると聞き及んでいるためである。様子をよく聞いて火を灯してから後に開くべきである。出火や急事であれば、予め決めておいた場所へ蝋燭を灯して働くべき事である。
